Knest is honestly an amazing place! Much better than where I grew up the first part of my life, anyway
It's a beautiful, mainly forested area. To the northwest there's an ocean that goes on for miles, and to the southeast a huge mountain range that's rarely explored. It's ruled by Queen Scandia, a human-sized snowy owl. Her family has been in power from the moment the monarchy was conceived, passing down the heir for generations.
Actually, lemme show you my map!
Ta-da~! This is Knest. Lemme tell you what I know about the cities:
FLOCKE {pronounced flock}
Flocke is the largest, richest city in the kingdom. With the largest population, the streets are always bustling. Goods are awfully expensive here. A river cuts the city almost in half, with the highest class citizens and the castle on the north side of it. The marketplace and townsquare are on the south side, along with a majority of Flocke residents. Guards are posted all over the city, but most can be found on the north side of the river.
ROOSTE {pronounced roost}
Rooste is the second largest city and is in charge of the kingdom’s crops and livestock. Acres upon acres of rolling hills are used for pastures and farmland, and thanks to the witches and mages that live here, all sorts of crops can grow year-round with their own perfect conditions in each field. The north and east sides of the city are bordered by dense forests. This city is also very religious.
BIEK {pronounced beak}
Biek is the final major city and produces much of the kingdom’s weapons, tools, and other metal materials. Part of a river cuts through the upper northeast corner of the city, leaving a small mining camp on the other side of it at the outskirts of town. World-renown blacksmith Stanley resides here and takes pride in his work both as a top-notch blacksmith and as a bartering expert.
HEMSEORTH {pronounced hem-see-ORth}
Hemseorth is the largest minor city and borders the ocean. Ships come and go from neighboring kingdoms, as this port town doubles as Knest’s import/export base. This town is also in charge of fishing with its close proximity to the ocean.
SCAREMING {pronounced ska-rem-ing}
Scareming is known for its abnormal activity, there’s always something mystical happening. The town can be found on Knest’s largest lake with part of it on a decently sized island just a few hundred feet from the mainland. An old wives' tale says there’s a secret underwater city full of merfolk deep below the lake’s surface. Some have even said they’ve caught glimpses of said merfolk. But that doesn’t explain the weird happenings around the town.
BELFWIT {pronounced bELF-wit}
Belfwit is the poorest town in the kingdom. It’s rather run-down and full of some pretty shady people. The river that cuts through Flocke also cuts partially through the northern part of Belfwit. This is also where I bunker down and store my treasures!
I've heard rumors as well that there's a really small village located in the mountains. It's not marked on my map because I'm not really sure its exact location. From what I heard it's an ancient civilization about half the size of Belfwit.
