Dealing with club leadership... not fun.
What I posted: Notice: When I ask people to stop playing with Zelda, STOP PLAYING WITH HER! I ended up leaving Game Night because there was a player that could not control their kid.
They publicly posted: while i understand you frustration the Student Body Constitution states "Section. 4. Students are bound by the Student Honor Code and shall be accountable to it. The Honor Code states, āAs students of Santa Fe College, we hold ourselves and our peers to the responsibility of being honest, true, benevolent, and virtuous to ourselves and each other at all times.ā meaning you have to respect other members regardless of there trouble they might have at the time. this is you warning please refrain from using this type of post which could offend any of our other member or you will removed from the club, by the Society for nerds constitution section 2.1.2- Violation of the Student Code of Conduct, which directly correlates with section 4 of the Student body constitution. Thank you for your cooperation, ----- President of the nerds.
Me: I am also allowed to participate in club activities without anyone interfering with my medical equipment. She is my service animal. She has to accompany me because of my medical disability. I already have to leave her home because of some of my classes.
Him: Thats fine but what i said still stand is the same as saying your service dog is bieng loud and some one complained i would tell them the samething. What i say still stands, due to the fact of what you said and not on what was done. This is why you have a leadership to help when you have a problem. But making remarks that might offend someone is still not acceptable
Me: Can you rephrase that? I'm having difficutly understanding what you wrote.
Him: What am sayin is this, be careful on what you post because it might offend someone. If some posted something about your service dog that might have offended you i would have told them the samething.
Me: I warned both the mother and her child to stop interfering with Zelda last night. I tried to be as gentle as possible. The sixth time the child tried to interfere, I left. I was at game night for approximately five minutes, it was that bad. I don't know who the woman and child was, so I figured that the general facebook forum was an appropriate venue for them to eventually see it. What would have been a more appropriate area to bring this up?
Him: tell your LT that what there in place for
Me: ...What's an LT? This is the first time I've heard this term.
Him: Leadership team. President, vice president, ect.
Me: The reason I seem to be sticking to this and so upset is I need her and I was actually looking forward to Game Night. Both the mother and child were interfering with Zelda's duties... Basically I am damn lucky I did not have a medical emergency when this was happening, or they would have been committing a possible felony. As a member of the LT, what can you do to prevent this from happening again?
Him: Tell them to stop andake them leave if i have to
Me: But you weren't there last night. That didn't help.
Him: X is part the LT dan is the advisor. I was in school just not there i was a massage away
Me: How am I to know that? I do not have everyone's schedule memorized or your number.
