"KK, why do you hate Christianity so much?"

Well aside from all the very obvious reasons - art. I know Christianity has done a lot for art. But what I'm talking about is this;

No amount of love for your religion is an excuse for doing this. I do not care if your god is "the only real god" and these sculptures were "false gods". I don't give a shit what religion is true or if any of them is. Destroying ancient art because you don't like what god the sculpture portraits is absolutely abysmal.

And I have a personal problem with this. Most native Slavic art was destroyed when Christianity came to Poland. There's almost nothing left. My native culture was almost erased because - Jesus. And I will never forgive Christianity for that. People still think Polish culture IS Christianity, bitch no! They just erased our real culture!

Our sculptures, stories, paintings, mythology, were destroyed because Christians have a big ego. Slavic, Greek, Italian, Native American. Christianity took a huge part of our culture away from us. It's just not fair. And it has a name - cultural terrorism.

That's one of the many reasons I hate Christianity.

In light of the next episode likely being the most substantive one as far as Nicki content is concerned, I am going to say it.

I find the idea of shipping reductive to the complex realities of human (and vampire) relationships.

The web of the human social condition can't be boiled down to the cutesy little mash-up of two characters' names at the end of your tumblr post. Mine included.

People are complex. Interesting characters are complex.

Have fun with it, sure! But if we miss out on interesting discussions because people are worried about "ship-baiting" then that is honestly a real shame. And very childish, to be frank.

You would think that a mature rated show based on a book older than I've even been alive would also invite more adult takes on said show, yet I can already see the discourse coming a mile (or a week) away. Heck, I've already seen it!

And I would not wish the kind of pain and grief that comes with losing a loved one on anyone, nor the at times suffocating guilt that follows when moving on.

You can love more than one person, and one does not have to diminsh the other. Love is not a competition.

You can like both Louis and Lestat and Nicki and it is not a crime.

So let's just be kind to each other as we enjoy this exploration of the human condition as told to us through vampire shaped vessels, alright?

The people who cry about not having enough "feminine woman" in acotar are the same people who mock other female characters when they do anything other than wield a sword.

I firmly believe a lot in acotar fandom have a very limited view of feminism and what female traits are. Everyday we see a lot of people say Aelin, Emerie, Feyre, Gwyn or Nesta are not feminine simply because they can wield swords or know how to take down an enemy. To this I can only ask does sword wielding or battling automatically reduces one of their femininity? Do all their other qualities fade away due to this "warrior women" trait?

Aelin loves dressing up and chocolate cakes. Emerie loves reading smut and gardening. Feyre loves painting and has taken interest in teaching other people. Gwyn loves singing and makes bracelets for her friends. Nesta loves dance and music. I'm not saying these ARE feminine traits but people often overlook Or make fun of all these characteristics and focus on simple sword wielding. You can't complain about a character being "not enough feminine or being typical warrior girl" when you yourself reduce the said character to one trait and erase everything.

And what exactly makes up this femininity? Loving pink or dressing up or playing with flowers are not the only feminine traits. Different cultures have different views on what makes one feminine. What a lot in the fandom have is what I like to call Pinterest femininity. Which makes sense considering the demographics but it's jarring to see people pretend like the feminine traits they know and think are the only ones that are applicable.

So many of movie!Michael Afton simps are just absolutely disgusting 💀 Whenever I check the comments on tiktok or even tumblr under posts that have him showing up, I see so many people (and many of them are repeated offenders of this) acting like straight up coomers about this man

Y'all, why the fuck are we treating him like an object you'd wanna fuck or be fucked by? That's fucking repulsive

Oh and don't let me mention Kaz Brekker simps as well and people who mix in the actor himself, Freddy Carter, into the objectifying sexualization

I get occasional spicy arts/edits and jokes about this, but come ooon being so gross in public and in everyone's face about how you "wanna make him pregnant", how "breedable" he is, how you're gooning to him or how you came all over the screen is fucked up

It's sad to watch too, hopefully Freddy Carter doesn't see much of this garbage and thankfully Michael Afton isn't real because even the horniest people out there feel uncomfortable with how much of an object they are to other people

And with so many people talking about how disgusted they feel when they're being sexualized without consent, you'd think others would realize they should rethink their shitty behavior and maybe, idk, stop looking at someone they find attractive as if they were looking at a sex toy and instead see the humanity in them

Is it that deep? I'd say definitely and shutting down the conversation with a "Boohoo it's not that deep you prudish mf" would prove it's an uncomfortable topic and an actual issue our society should work on
