“A pond and I met once or twice before.” She’d taken a tumble in near her cottage in Appleby. The creek was really easy to fall into! “There’s goldfish, bass fish, sushi fish, tuna, and I’m sure a few more, red fish, blue fish, many fish.”

“I beg to differ. As fitting as a sunflower on an April day, you are. Can’t you wait for April? Those showers will bring us flowers,” She spoke excitedly, drunkenly.

“Were you thinking of an albatross?” Prija considered the cream puff, thought about declining it, and then took it and popped it in her mouth. 

“No, that’s a fish.” Zelda licked the cream from her thumb, “Albeit a very beautiful one. Albeit! Another type.”

“I wished upon an asteroid and all it got me was this cup of gin.” Zelda sipped tentatively at it, hating the overall taste of Christmas it gave off. “It’d be rude of me to waste.”

★ At a young age, Zelda was enrolled into the Kwikspell program which, at the time, is a tutor center. After school everyday at Siren, she’d go to the Kwikspell Center and meet with tutors suited to her needs. She’d always fallen a bit behind, slower than most her age, but thanks to the Kwikspell Center, she was able to pass with average grades. Since passing, Zelda was offered a full ride scholarship, which made both of her parents jump for joy. She was able to attend Hogwarts cost free and still attends the tutor center bi-weekly.

★ A swig of Firewhisky here and there loosened her up before homework some nights, but she knew something better, more herbal, existed. It was easy finding seeds for a strain to help focus while expanding her thoughts; it was easy growing them, even. What proved to be difficult was planting them in the greenhouses and keeping the single pot plant hidden in the correct conditions. She was almost caught one afternoon, transferring the potted plant across the room and out of direct sunlight. She concealed the plant away behind a bunch of others, not as well as she could have, and made a mad dash for the dungeons. News broke out the next morning that marijuana had been found in a stash of another first year student’s work in the greenhouse. The Muggleborn, who’d been a Ravenclaw, swore up and down that it hadn’t been theirs, but since the student had been suspected of another incident earlier in the year, they were expelled without further investigation. Zelda never told anyone it had been her and as the days go on, that burden begins to grow heavier. But telling the truth means having her scholarship revoked.
