Why did the show get new writers for the 8th season?

Because the showrunners’s contract was over in season 7 and they didn’t renew with FOX. They were then replaced by new ones who didn’t like Hyde/Jackie, nor Jackie, and who had to deal with Topher Grace leaving. As we know, they seemed to not understand none of the characters in the show or their arcs and plots.
