you guys how do we feel about the concept of brooklynn sobbing into darius' shoulder after he proposes to her because for a long time she decided that there couldn't possibly be anyone who'd want to marry her?
how do we feel about that?
I think this should be a canonized concept because IT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE IT HURTS ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
The concept of Brook feeling so guilty and upset while faking her death that she asked Ronnie if she was doing the right thing, whether or not she was a bad person, and Ronnie responding "If I had had a daughter, and she would've been like you, I would've been very proud of her" and Brooklynn crying cuz that's literally her mom now.
Like yes she loves her dads and wouldn't trade them for anything but Ronnie is her mother now there's nothing anyone can do anymore they r mother and daugher
I honestly really loved the bond between Ronnie and Brooklynn 💜

i know that Yaz is like a mentally strong person in Chaos Theory but I just wonder how much of the treatment she's gained from the Nublar Six actually shows her vulnerability?
Because I know she was like the "group therapist" for everyone else but a part of me was kind of like, was Yaz being the ONLY ONE that actually went to freaking therapy was now the bucket for everyone to unload all their emotions and grief too? I mean season 2 was a teensy bit rough on her for that. 😅 (I didn't see her get a break sheesh!) And season 4 too, she stayed so strong for Ben and everyone until she just couldn't anymore... ðŸ˜)
*not just Sammy, the poor girl needed to let that out to Yaz and Darius I guess is more quiet about it I guess? I mean he was just really worried for Kenji's behavior so it is valid*
Idk, it's been stuck in my head for like days now. I think I have trouble comprehending what I MEAN in this sense without trying to be vague ya know??
But like yeah, that's my thoughts.
*also God bless Yaz for being so FREAKING PATIENT (Ben was patient too, the duo together on everyone unloads their problems too) with everyone (minus Kenji, the man has been on her nerves sibling wise for YEARS 😂😂) because GOOD LORD how did she not crash out even once??? Girlie deserved to crash out*

Sad/Angst Camp Fam/N6 HCs (Part 1)
TW: Self-harm, neglect, depression
Darius:
Neglects his physical health to a concerning degree (kept losing or gaining weight after Brooklynn faked her death)
Only eats junk food because he couldn't stomach any healthy stuff without feeling discomfort nor can cook any homemade food (One time Sammy found out she ripped Darius a new one and even gave him a WHOLE book of recipes that she and Yaz had made together over the years at her house in El Paso, Texas and she even color-coded the steps and instructions for Darius to follow AND he would have to take pictures and show her that he was actually trying to eat healthy ðŸ˜ðŸ˜)
He has low blood sugar and accidentally forgets to keep track of his monitor (The first time he fainted post chaos theory everyone especially Brooklynn and Kenji freaked out because Ben had just come back from the hospital.)
His depression came back after Ben was hospitalized and couldn't even video call for the first month and a half because he was overworking himself in Biosyn to help with the dinosaurs. *Brooklynn was the only one that called him every single day. Her determination was what kept Darius going because he knew that she was trying for the better and in turn he would respond back to her calls.*
He stresses very badly but always kept a composed face.
He overstimulates. But like internally *when he does overstimulate, he leaves and goes to another room. To let out his antics. Normally no one does pick up on it but lately, either Yaz, Brooklynn or even Kenji will notice. Brooklynn surprisingly is the one who helps him calm down and stays with him*
He rarely crashes out but when he does, everyone stops to listen (even Kenji)
He is asexual BUT I do believe that over time he did genuinely develop romantic feelings for Brooklynn. Even if it was off-screen. We could see that it is displayed in the way that HE shows it.
His whole family is Christian (Non-Denomination) including him. *not angsty I know but I just think that it's cool*
He would have days where he just...refuses to talk with anyone. *This doesn't happen in Camp Cretaceous but in Chaos Theory his isolation is when everyone starts to like ACTUALLY notice how he behaves* *I'm still pissed off that no one defended him in season 1. He's AWARE he messed up, but hating him for it especially when someone doesn't have the whole story *coughs, Kenji* for SIX MONTHS is crazy*

Personal Opinion: Why I Don't Like Benji (Why I LOVE Bengia)
Mainly because one, Ben already has a girlfriend and she is a very lovable person! The two match each other's chemistry and passions. Gia is just a sweetheart and I love her for that.
Kenji was someone who constantly talked down at Ben ever since they were kids. Despite that as the years went on they grew closer together as friends. Even family. I always saw those scenes of Ben and Kenji together as nothing more than Kenji being very worried for his Benny Boy.
Kenji is a very protective person. He loves and cares fiercely for all his friends and family. It's who he is. But he's also someone who has been through too much trauma in his life to even consider wanting to have another romance with someone. The trauma Brooklynn indirectly gave him is still lingering in his system by faking her death and pushing him away back at the airstrip in Senegal. He's not ready to even think about romance with another person.
Much less Ben. He's happy for him and Gia.
For Ben, it's also something that he has found OUTSIDE of the Nublar Six. That outlet was Gia. They share passions, dreams and hopes for the future that wasn't revolving around the Nublar Six. Gia was Ben's grounding beacon of hope and reason to keep going (as we have seen in season 4) Ben was Gia's person and someone to love unconditionally.

Very Unpopular Opinion:
Because I know people are gonna hate me on this. I felt horrible for Kenji in Season 1 of Chaos Theory. He lost EVERYTHING. (Including his emotionally manipulative father but we don't need to talk about that) Of course I sympathized with him. But this scene was something that possibly triggered me (having parent issues lol) and definitely wasn't how I even thought of Kenji's character to be written like that and really rubbed me the wrong way.
That was NONE of Kenji's business to tell Darius that he hasn't called his own mother in over a month. (Plus, the show never really explaining WHY Darius never called his mom) He had no right to, especially since he was VERY close to where Daniel Kon's prison house is. So in a way it's kind of hypocritical of Kenji to call him out for that?

Headcanons for why!
It's very likely Darius had his own reasons to not call her. MY prediction is that Darius and Simone (I love whoever came up with that name for Mrs. Bowman thank you very much) either had a falling out or a big fight. Brandon of course tried to be the peacekeeper for the family but because of Brooklynn (faking) being dead, it caused a huge rift in the family.
Darius still loves his mother very much, but he was IN PIECES after what happened with Brooklynn and with Simone "choosing" (This is Darius's POV) to care for Kenji 24/7 for his grieving, I think between this period Darius had a breaking point and very likely isolated himself for over a month from everyone. (I'm not saying that was the sole reason, but Darius definitely WAS NOT thinking logically when he was in mourning. Both him and Kenji of course. Simone had to choose who was going through worse, of course she chose Kenji because Kenji NEEDED his mother, adoptive or not. Kenji needed Simone)
Darius's isolation and basically going no contact caused Kenji to hate him, (because he basically lost his brother so soon after losing his ex-girlfriend) Simone being heartbroken that her youngest son isn't calling her on the phone and Brandon being put in an awkward position since he was the only brother and family member whom Darius CHOSE to keep in contact with. (They were brothers by blood and Darius always felt safe and comfortable with his big brother. Familial vibes. Their bond is different from Darius and Kenji's. Who SURVIVED and became brothers through hardship, survival and even loss)
I said what I said. This is PURELY my opinion on this particular scene in season 1 of Chaos Theory!

Why did the writers portray Darius and Brooklynn's relationship as ambiguous? Why didn't they choose platonic or romantic? Was it always meant for them to never be together?
