OutOfLimits; In celebration of Gay Marriage being legalized in all 50 states, I wanted to post this little thing that my significant other has posted way back when, when we first met. As some of you may already know, zephyrcrystallis (formally known as bartzchocoboenthusiast) has been my partner for almost 4 years and we’re still going strong. From the many worlds Bartz had seen, this one was... well, it wasn’t particularly friendly. Usually the wanderer was proud of his clothes, but people kept laughing at him openly for his blue tunic and khakis. Eventually, he took his tunic off, sitting around in his undershirt and pants. No one seemed to want to dress very colorfully, but at least he was somewhat accepted in this casual wear.

He ended up sitting inside a “gas station,” the air conditioner blowing directly on him and making him tremble. The woman there was kind, had chuckled at him good naturedly, and let him sit while he tried to take everything in. When he was busy trying to scoot his chair as far away from the cold air as possible, a man entered the place.

Bartz was halfway between walking with his chair held to his butt, looking incredibly awkward.

"Oh, um, hi! I’m just--”

Setting down the chair and brushing himself off just to have something to do with his hands. He nodded to the stranger, stumbling over himself in embarrassment.

“Uh, welcome to the... gas station! Yeah... what are you doing here?”

"Hey. You look like a traveler" the knight said, whipping his hair to the side. He took a look back at his assistants before continuing, "I found a chocobo in the Araguay Woods that needs an owner."

Bartz had paused his grooming of one of his bred chocobos to regard the stranger, his eyes lighting up in interest. He didn’t have as large a pen as he did back at his home, but he still had room for his feathered friends next to his shack. He turned to the older man full to give him his full attention, his brows rising as he spied the assistants in tow. This guy must have been super important to have a “posse” or… something like that.

“Araguay Woods? I’ve never been there, but…” He smiled warmly at the man, taking his words as an invite. He glanced to the assistants again wearily before continuing.

“If you can lead me there, I’ll help any chocobo I can!”

Dycedarg turned to his plated chocobo and grabbed its reigns before mounting the feathery beast. He gives you a small purse of coins worth your trouble. “Well, it’s as much expected of a farmer…” He mumbles under his breath. He points out over a few hills and pipes up, “The woods are not far from here, only on the southeast border, just before you cross into the next province over.“

Bartz takes the coins with a frown, confused, before trying to give it back. “No, thanks, you're the one helping me!”

Regardless, once the prospect of them heading out came up, Bartz mounted one of Boko’s children and followed the man towards the woods. He was anxious over the state of the lost chocobo, but decided to pass the time by making conversation.
