We are the Cloudy Constellation system. We are a constellation of around 15+ known alters. We are always down to get to know other systems!

We mainly created this blog to have a safe space online and to interact with other systems.

The body is 21 years old.

Basic DNI criteria. And those who are against educated self diagnosis.

On Identity

The other day, I saw someone talk about struggling with their own identity outside of “someone with DID” or “a person with trauma”. And that got me to thinking… what even is identity in the context of those of us who are a system? Individual alters may have their own sense of identity, sure, however they find that identity. But is there a system identity? And not like…. just in the sense of “we’re part of this system”, but like…. a whole, overarching identity that feels like “me” that the whole system feels, if that makes sense?

And what even makes up an identity? I’ve heard of people saying things like, favorite color or favorite food, but that feels incredibly surface level. But things like race, age, and class also feel too limiting. Or rather… I don’t like putting the focus on those things as my identity. It’s a part of my identity, yes. But not really the whole story?

The sense of “me” is kind of weird for people with DID and trying to differentiate how that feels from alter to alter is hard to articulate. And I’m sure no two systems even conceptualize identity the same way. The sense of “me” vs “not me” is both nebulous and distinct. And is there maybe some sort of an undercurrent of “me” that’s prevalent throughout all the alters in my system?

I think I can pretty confidently say, yeah. There is definitely a sense of “me” that seems present in every single alter in this system. I can’t really spell out what that “me” is, but I think it’s there. And as the days go on that sense of identity, of “me”, not as a part but as a whole, gets a little bit stronger.

Maybe this is what it means to be less dissociative. Maybe this is the beginning of what healing looks like for me.

even though i really struggle with identity as an alter, i think there's definitely some sort of identity sense that covers all of us in our system as well. i cant really point out what it is either tho. but i definitely can feel its there. thank you for sharing this, i feel like this gave me some new food for thought that i will definitely use. -Onyx

When I start getting upset over something that doesn't matter to me:

this post is for the systems who aren't constantly switching and usually only switch from the host for a few hours at best. a lot of systems always seem to be switching a lot and seeing that lead me into denial because our switches aren't as frequent and it's the host that's fronting the majority of the time. it's normal and you don't have to have hella switches every day to be a system. just remember there's no set or "right" way to be a system <3

if you’re friends with the host of a system please PLEASE make an effort to get to know the others in the system. a lot of the time, since the host fronts the most, the other people in the system aren’t able to socialise as much and end up without much of a support group or many friends. reaching out means the world!!

- enquire about a certain headmate! how are they doing? what have they been up to?

- message alters even when they aren’t in front. make them feel wanted even when they’re not around

- @ them in things that remind you of them!! if they have their own accounts on tumblr send asks!!

being a member of a system comes with unrelenting struggles and worries, and it is in your power to be able to alleviate some of these concerns. make your system friends feel loved!! [:

opinion on putting orange juice in coffee

ive never tried it but it sounds...wrong :DD

the acids in orange juice get rid of the bitterness

when i drink coffee with milk and sugar like a normal person its still a bit bitter and if i add sugar it makes me nauseous while adding orange juice makes it sweet n refreshing
