WHY IS MEATLESS MONDAYS COOL??
Cutting down on meat = less contribution to climate change (I'll explain CAFOS in another post)
Try a new vegetarian/vegan recipe. I LOVE vegetarian meals, they are freaking bomb. I'm not talking about a salad. I'm talking bout an actual MEAL.
It can boost your heart health bc a lot of meats we get at the grocery store is pumped out with injections and why not from the animals. Eat veggies, beans, and nuts.
It cuts down on energy. Eating meats costs more energy than vegetables because of CAFOS
(CAFOS stands for concentrated animal feeding operation)
I know sometimes it can be hard doing meatless mondays if you really love meat or you are in a family that eats meat based meals. I recommend doing it once a month and see where it takes you, then slowly add another monday in, and BAM you are doing meatless mondays for a whole month!!! Take it slow and easy!! ADD TO THE LIST IF YOU KNOW MORE STUFF I LOVE IT WHEN YOU GUYS DO THAT CAUSE I LEARN FROM YOUR GUYS TOO!!!!!!
I’m in love 🌿

Learning how to take care of my houseplants has been both gratifying and humbling 🌿 I have many plants that are doing well and really thriving, but I also have several that are not looking so good, despite my best efforts 😔 When that happens, you just have to do what you can, take a step back, and hope for the best 🙏🏻
String of hearts flowers 🥰

Through the years I've been changing my actions and being conscious of our footprint in this world. There are 2 billion razors, 16 billion coffee cups, 1 billion toothbrushes, 22 billion plastic bottles, 12 billion pads, and 7 billion tampons thrown away each year.
40 billion plastic utensils per year are a complete waste in the United States alone. Each year, an estimated 500 billion to 1 trillion plastic bags are consumed worldwide. That comes out to over one million per minute. An estimate 8.3 billion plastic straws pollute the world's beaches. And millions and billions of pieces of masks are being disposed daily. I was trying to look for exact numbers, but I found out that it is more than 10 millions in the USA daily, as well for UK, and other countries! So imagine each country is disposing more than 10 million masks every day 🤯
In honor of our lives and well-being, I've changed all of these objects to reusable ones. I've been using them for years now and so far I don't have any complaints. It takes courage of getting out of your comfort zone and saying "No, thank you" when you get offered single-use plastic and willingly looking for options to make a lifestyle change. The goal is to produce LESS waste and baby steps are always welcome and appreciated because the most important thing is to start. This world belongs to every single one of us and WE have to take care of it together.
⠀
PS. I'm not telling you you should buy all these (or other) things to make a change. Use what you have first and buy things when you NEED them 🌿 and if friends have extra reusable water bottles and they are so kind of giving you one that's good too! Also, you can use your stainless steal home utensils and take it out with you.
⠀
Are you doing something to keep this world healthy?

I see this being a thing.
green kind, green life 🌱 saw this quote on pinterest and thought it was a great quote in support of the environment, so I drew it in some simple lettering! 💚
health food store haul that I tried to do as low waste as possible - organic collards, single organic bananas, local peaches, organic lemons, organic avocados, organic BBQ sauce, coconut aminos, organic ginger, frozen tempeh and local organic green + yellow beans. i tried putting them all in the same bag but the cashier lady yelled at me so that’s why there’s two. they are biodegradale which is nice though
PLANT INSIDERS
Plants love starch, so if u have cooked pasta or boiled potatoes save the water, let it cool and give it to ur plants. DO NOT GIVE THEM BOILING WATER THEY WILL DIE, I REPEAT THEY WILL DIE. I add a bowl under the pot with the holes (I forgot the name of it but you know what i mean). Then I put it in the refrigerator to cool and water my plants with it once its cold.
Plants loves coffee grounds. My friend gave her aloe plant coffee grounds and it grew like crazy.
Eggshells are a natural fertilizer. Wash out the slimy stuff from the eggshell and then ground it up into a fine powder, you’ll know its ready when it look like fresh crack you can snort (please dont snort the eggshells). You can use a food processor if that helps. Sprinkle the powder on the soil.
Banana peels are a natural fertilizer too. Sun dry the banana peel, you can cut it up into smaller pieces for it to dry quicker. Its ready when its looks like bethany’s heat damaged hair: crunchy. When the peels are crunchy, crush it up into a powder. Sprinkle the powder on your soil.
Talk to your plants. It actually helps them grow. Talk to them bout random shit, my plants are literally my therapist.
Got another book from a friend for my name day. It looks really sweet! I will do some kind of a review after I finish it. ♥️
(My friend also got it used for me. My influence is there, guys lol.)
