When you spent hours setting up their home and making it pretty and a certain butthead spent the night digging a hole, throwing dirt in her food dish, and trying to eat leaves when they moved while I was trying to tidy things a little. 🙄

Pudge is the second gecko to get the bioactive treatment. When setting up the excavator clay I spaced on the fact that I was going to set this up bioactive so she has less above the soil than Buggy, but I think she is okay with that.

(Note: the humidity is as high as it on the reader because I had just taken the spray bottle to the whole enclosure, it came down very quickly.)

Finally got Buggy’s interactive background all set up. She’s got tons of hides and tunnel systems to explore and climb, and she seems to already be enjoying it. I’ll be setting this up bioactive in the near future.

The background is looking so good! 😍 Just a note - when she was little, one of my geckos, Eclair, got some minor burns from climbing onto the lamp guard. I'm not sure how relevant it is from the photos, but it's a good thing to keep in mind :3 Can't wait to see the bio!

Thank you for the warning. She has been caught climbing the cage before, so I put my hand on the cage when the heat was on to test it and the cage was still cold, but it is definitely something I will keep in mind and continue to watch out for.

Got the girls some sphagnum moss for their moist hides. Buggy has relocated some to the Lego corner to make herself a little bed. It’s absolutely adorable.

But I’m unfortunately going to have to confiscate it because I’ve had bad hives everyday since bringing the moss home, so I suspect I am allergic. I’m so sorry Buggy, but I can’t keep living like this!

Ladybug likes to climb, like a LOT! I wasn’t sure how to best scratch that itch for her without spending money I don’t have at the moment. Well my kids no longer play with these giant legos, so now they’re Buggy’s legos. 🤣

I’ve got enough I can replace the structure with a new one while I sanitize the old blocks and give her new things to climb and explore. She seems happy. Though I’m starting to think I should have gotten her a larger PVC tank. The girl likes her space. 🤷🏻‍♀️
