My first stab at using gouache. Honestly, I thought it would be really easy to pick up after watercolor, but it is such a struggle to use white paint instead of more water for lighter colors. I have some real grand plans for when I can stop accidentally lifting everything I just painted though!

Another name for the common pigeon is the "rock dove," presumably because they are like doves, but more punk rock.

I tried to come up with something funny to say about this one, but honestly the entire concept of the okapi speaks for itself. It's a horse wearing zebra pants. It's more closely related to the giraffe than horses or zebras. Mother Nature has outdone herself and I have nothing to add.

I just finished up this commissioned tattoo design. I had so much fun with the gorgeous color palette the client picked!
