mmmmm I can finally crochet again

it is difficult to remain normal when youve been disrupted, but it is important to maintain some sense of stability

im trying to do that, but I unfortunately cannot crochet away my thoughts because I am already having some forearm pain :[

ive been sick for several days, and every time im sick I make it a goal to look dad and pathetic and say

"please, I wish to see the begonias out in the garden one more time before I perish"

because I think its funnier to pretend my illness is me getting possessed by a little Victorian boy with an illness thats curable with [x pill] today

as a little break from sunflower purgatory (to ensure I dont burn myself out) here's some progress on a crochet mushroom bag im making for my mom

the pattern is pretty cool, I love the built in little holes for the draw string. I think the only real change ill be making is im going to crochet the strap with yarn and fishing line for strength. im really happy with my progress so far tho!

I have 23 of these total to make, and theres 4 more rows after the green to make the granny squares. why did I do this to myself???

I know I missed the anniversary but man, I can't believe it's been 5 years.

I was so different back then, all my friends were different. I was just a kid when the channel got deleted.

I remember watching the stream and asking my parents to please please please let me get a piece of merch to remember it by, I wish I could've gotten more but im happy with what I have.

I remember sobbing at the end.

It's so interesting that something full of silly jokes and making breakfast with sex toys was so meaningful? You don't usually think about how comedic things can make you think so much about your own eventual death.

I'm so happy with where my life has gone, even if it is not what I thought it would be 5 years ago.

Today I learned (from my partner) that eyecontact is not, infact, looking directly at someone's eyes. It is, however looking at someone's face for those tiny changes to be able to do the good social cues.

I've been aggressively staring at people's eyes my whole life for no reason.

I've bought a new notebook, I'm going to make it this semester's mission to write a novel, or at least a first draft. It will be about a girl named Maxine.

She holds a deep place in my heart, as I used to be very much like her. Her story deserves to be written.

I've started the outlining of story beats today.
