Finished my book last night so I guess I’ll just stare longingly at my bookshelf until god reveals my next book to read to me through divine revelation

-> “why wasn’t this book listed?” probably because it wasn’t black sapphic-centric, the author isn’t a black sapphic themself, or i just simply haven’t heard of it! so feel free to add on if it meets those two criteria
many of these books require trigger warnings, especially some of the older ones that are more likely to feature racial struggles of the time. please do your due diligence and search for tws if you want to read them!
please feel free to add onto this list in the rbs or comments! happy black history month
sorry for writing a new post abt the same thing
my friend, v, has been in an abusive situation and have managed to relocate (see: couch surfing, paid hostels, cheap hotels). the bathroom would be locked at all times, their stuff was thrown out, their cat was left to wander around etc etc
i have been fostering their cat, and have been helping them with groceries.
their parents cut them off as well recently and it has been dire for them. they are doing freelance but it is not helping much, and they have applied to multiple places and hoping to hear from them soon
please consider helping them. for receipts, proof, indian upi, please dm me.

the goal is roughly around 190 usd
2026 overall update
cat neutered, food is stocked for next week. but apart from that, V needs money for hostel/hotel stay and work commute. they have picked up a couple odd jobs for money. i am helping them with groceries and food whenever i can. they have kept their stuff at another friend’s hostel in university. we are trying to help them as much as possible!!!
thank u all for ur support. any money they get now will be for their sustenance only
because of a v generous donation, cat food is stocked so we dont have to worry about it for a bit.
it’s just their needs now, which they have summed up to be around 6000-7000 INR or roughly around 60usd
which they can use to pay remaining hotel/hostel charges and move around and eat a bit (as mentioned, they are free to use my kitchen and groceries anytime)
