Headcanon facts #23

Markus Kenneth Denton.

Luna met Mark for the first time at the Battle of Hogwarts - where he helped her tend to the injured while the fight was ongoing. (I’ll make a specific post about the battle in the future.)

Mark is a muggle-born from London, that was in the same year as Harry Potter.

His parents died in a car accident when he was a kid and his wizard-uncle raised him. He has no siblings or cousins, it was just him and his uncle.

In Hogwarts he was in Hufflepuff. He was also a member of Dumbledore’s Army.

During the Second Wizarding War, his uncle was murdered while he was in Hogwarts (his 7th year), leaving him with no living relatives.

After the battle was over, he joined Luna as her apprentice.

Since Luna doesn’t have children (up until her mid 30′s at least, though she probably won’t have any at all.) - Mark was the closest thing she had to a son, since he viewed her as a mother figure, and sometimes even called her “Mum.” even though their age gap was more fitting for siblings. (~7-8 years)
