 Best Company is an autobiographical visual diary born on Tumblr in 2016 from the desire to preserve, tell and share moments spent with friends and acquaintances in places related mainly to music. The sense of community and aggregation, easily found in the small realities linked to the different underground musical scenes, is the base of this work in progress that now becomes also a fanzine. All photographs are made with an instinctive and amateur approach, through the use of old analog point-and-shoot cameras.

Dead Templeton is a local-ish punk zine that’s run by my girlfriend and I. We talk about the music behind Daria, Mischeif Brew’s late lead singer, Erik Peterson, and the downfall of Blink-182, among other things.

Temporal is a collection of photos shot around my neighborhood in what started a carrying around a camera as I would walk from work, to school, and back home again. I begin looking at the images I shot and notice that each of the image's deal with movement in some form, whether it was a from the lighting, the use of color, or the physical altering of the landscape from on going construction.

The Purplizer is was shot over a two week period in the summer of 2017 while on the last 2 weeks of tour with Cloud Rat, Thou, Moloch, and False know as the Friendship Tour. All images shot with a 35mm point and shoot, I tried to snap a picture every time we stoped the van at a venue, gas station, or road side attraction to document areas of the country i'd never been to before.

“It was 1998 when I used to spend the endless August afternoons in the lonely countryside, wandering aimlessly, lazing around and smoking weed with friends. We were teenagers. During one of our random missions, we visited an abandoned farmhouse and in the excited exploration I stumbled over something, hit my head and lost consciousness for a while - the strangest moments I ever lived. Dream, hallucination, weed? Who knows, but I lost myself in a total oblivion, a darkness dominated by odd creatures who appeared to me in all their terrifying glory. The morning after I wrote my memories down on a little notebook I used as a diary. Almost twenty years later, during a move, I found that old notebook. By reading my absurd impressions again, I decided to give shape to those visions. That’s how this fanzine was born.”

Sinuous and minimalist brushstrokes outline young bodies masturbating, turning the simple observer into a voyeur. The faces halfway between smile and asymmetry and the kinky and playful elements emphasize the vibrant side of the onanism.
