“At last!” was my exclamation at the end of the first day of November, for having cleared away the main bulk of the work projects. It is the 6th day of Nov today and I’m trying to take a chill pill of not working much. Shifting to do other things outside my usual zone is a little harder than I thought. Pregnancy at Week 35. It has been a crazy mixture of feelings of excitement, overwhelmingness and thankfully, moments of peacefulness. Spotted a wild sea lion at Cannibal Bay and I was so excited to wait and watch her various poses. She flopped onto the fluffy sand, rolled over lazily and while still lying down, she flipped the sand thrice over her still body with her long front flippers. So naturally cute! It is fascinating to observe how that sealion in the wild walks on four - her front fins and her strong back flippers without jumping. Twenty minutes walk to the Slope Point seemed nothing but with the never-ending roaring, chilliest wind and the grey-blue skies that threatened to pour anytime, we were pretty tempted to just continue to stay in the cosy car and enjoy the wide misty view of sea, mountains, hills and fields grazed by plenty of cute sheeps. Then, I thought it would be a waste not to try. We ventured out to the southern most point of the South Island of New Zealand and were met with fleeting moments of rain. No joke about the blustery strongest wind ever, despite of donning his block tech jacket.
