Shaggy and I made an AU where Velma dates Johnny Bravo in high school. She ends up getting pregnant, and she believes that her future is ruined and her dreams are crushed. Johnny… isn’t supportive. In fact, he dumps her. Unsure of where to turn, she goes to Shaggy, her best friend/high school drop out. He attends every doctor’s appointment she goes to. He brings her lunch at school. He helps her pick out a name for her son or daughter.
For a boy, she ended up choosing Atticus, after Atticus Finch, her favorite book character.
The boy has such bright blue eyes that it stings her soul, reminding her of everything she’s lost — and as he gets older, he has the same fair hair his father has. He ends up combing it into a pompadour, too. But unlike his biological father, he has freckles on his cheeks, and is in dire need of prescription glasses.
Velma doesn’t tell Atticus who his father is. Not until he’s much, much older. He’s curious as a child, about why he doesn’t have his “father’s” almond brown hair or eyes. But Velma tells him that Shaggy is the only father he’ll ever need, and the only father he’ll ever know.
Upon meeting Johnny, he’s quite grateful for his good old pops who uses outdated slang and got grey hairs a little too quickly.
Next, we have the twins. These two are from Shaggy and Velma. Samuel, named after Shaggy’s dad, and Vincent. Vince is a lot like Velma. Practical, logical, a little on the chubby side with freckles and glasses. Amazingly enough, he gained Shaggy’s ability to woo the ladies, unlike his brother, who can’t smooth talk his way out of a paper bag. Sam is the “hip” one out of the two. He’s a bit more chill when it comes to school, and everything else, for that matter. He has more friends than Vince, but he can’t get a girl to save his life. They’re a little less developed than Atticus, but only because we haven’t had them for long.
These two would be Bee’s older brothers, depending on the verse. Usually we set Bee as an only child, and the twins are an AU. :) Atticus is older, of course, in that respect. No matter what Shelma verse we’re doing, we usually always have a Bee.
