the world is a cold, cold place to be | Dylan + Lei
Dylan playfully rolled her eyes as the woman corrected her.  “Yeah, well air narc sounds like a more accurate job description if you asked me,” she smirked, not completely buying that she wasn’t an air marshal herself.  If she was it wouldn’t have mattered, Dylan snuck what little bit of pot she had in her luggage.  If anybody wanted to question the blonde it would have to wait until they landed in Bumfuck, Nowhere.  Or where ever they were heading. Â
“Is that you warning me not to talk during the flight?” She teased not ready to back down from her snap judgement of the brunette.  “Because I can warn you now I do have headphones, but good luck keeping me quiet for six hours.”  She remarked with a playful wink. Â
Lei took in a deep breath and let it out in a sigh, keeping herself facing forward. Still, she felt a small rush of excitement at Dylan's playful wink. It was stupid, she knew it was, but she couldn't help it. Having celebrity crushes was impossible to avoid in the world, right? No, that wasn't right, Lei knew that, but she needed to believe something so she didn't feel like a fool. Dylan didn't need to know that though. Nor did she need to know she was getting to Lei in any sort of form or fashion.
She turned her head, trying to give a hint of a smile to sell her act of being composed, "You're free to do whatever you want, miss." Lei assured, making her professionalism practically ooze out to deter the blond from talking to her. No one liked to talk to someone that was that collected, it was one of the bodyguard 101 lessons her father taught her when dealing with a certain kind of client. Sure Dylan was just a B-movie actress that, according to her IMBD, hadn't done anything in years, but celebrities were just people at the end of the day.
"I'm here to get from point A to point B, just like you. But I do fall asleep on planes a lot, so our conversations will be very minimal." Truthfully Lei ran on very little sleep, but she could fake it for the sake of her own pride.
