Tom Hiddleston becomes a Chinese woman
I really love Loki as a character, I'm not a comic fan but I collect all the comics about Loki, I bought almost every Loki figure that I could, and I watched all the Marvel movies that involved Loki again and again, I memorize every one of Loki's lines, but I just find out I don't even want to rewatch Loki series for twice...every scene have Loki and Sylvie together was full of secondhand embarrassment, I love Loki, but it just torturing for me to watch it.
I have been waiting this show for so long, even now I still can't imagine one day I don't want to watch Loki anymore, but here I am.
LOKI series is full of problems, bad action scenes, too many unfinished storyline, useless foreshadowing, can anyone tell me what's the point of kid Loki gave Loki that sword? Seems every plot happened on Loki just useless.
Every scene in the trailer that makes me exciting and thinking Loki was trying to do something big, in the show it tells me it was just meaningless and even embarrassing. It's like they are enjoying shut down every hope that I had before watching this show, what's the point of the writer and director of the show to did that? Just for making audience disappoint on Loki?
The funny thing is, every time Loki fails, Sylvie was there to hold up the highlight, but the trailer didn't show those scenes has another person in there! The trailer erased Sylvie for almost every scene to fool me imagine it is was Loki's own adventure and his own fight!
What a surprise! This isn't a Loki series! It's SYLVIE! And everybody should know when people say LOKI, it means Tom Hiddleston's Loki : )
Can you imagine how disappointed it is for a Loki's fan, waiting for almost 10 years to have her favorite character's first solo series but finally find out it's not about him, it's about another character which sneakily use same identity with the one you love, so people can still say it is "about Loki", it just disgusting me so much, every time I think about this just make me physically want to puke.
Yes, and that's the most disgusting problem for me to hate this series, after episode 2 the show is no longer about Loki anymore, looks like the director and the writer were putting every important plot only on Sylvia and try to make Loki looks like a outsider, the whole story was Sylvia's revenge and Loki just a walking camera to record what happened and kissed by her.
Also this show makes me so uncomfortable was it makes Loki become such a no opinion person he has to ask Sylvie before he did everything, and Sylvie shouted him to "shut up!" , he has to be so careful and small voice beside her, it almost as same as he beside Thor in the beginning of THOR 1, what's the point of making him like that? Because the writer and director wants to show he love her? That's making people so uncomfortable.
But actually I know the real reason why they make Loki looks like that, because the writer and director wants to build a girl boss character so they have to weak the male character which is Loki, they make Loki afraid of her, so people will think she is a strong female.
I'd like to see more strong female on screen but please don't use to ruin my 10 years favorite character as the price!
For how they did to weak Loki's character, Loki is a god, he beat up captain America, he can catch Hawkeye's arrow without looking, and that was two days ago, but in this show, he couldn't even fight normal person, Loki almost loses every fight and Sylvie can handle everything, everything Loki did was to mess up things and making Sylvie headache, but Loki is not that kind of person! Not to mention when Loki get drunk on the train, that's completely OOC!
Loki is intelligent and always has a plan, but in this show everything Loki did was dumb and he has no plan on everything, not only our Loki looks like that, but also every other Loki were look like that, they live in void for so long but no one figure out how to control Alias, only the smartest Sylvie figure out to enchant it by just arrive.
All the male looking Loki can't imagine female Loki is the most uncomfortable thing that I can imagine, and I even know why they did that, they want to make Loki a typical machismo to show how feminist Sylvie is, and only she is the special female one, they insult Loki's nature to make Sylvie looks better, and don't mention Loki is actually gender fluid, that's the most hateful thing that I can't accept of the show.
All of these make the show looks like the writer and directors only want to build Sylvie's character but not Loki's , and I guess that's why people stop watching this show after episode 3.
This show use Tom's Loki to promote and advertising, people want to see Loki's adventures but not some new character use Loki as a stepstone to show herself.
I mean it seriously, If they let me see Sylvie's smug face again, I'll immediately give up on all of these Marvel stuff, I can't change Marvel but I can change myself, and I'm sure I won't be the only one to do this.
In Defense of Loki (TV Series edition)
Last updated: August 11th, 2021
Marvel’s really going to make me do this again, aren’t they? *sigh*
Loki (2021) sucks. It sucks in every imaginable way that a thing can suck. It sucks as a Loki series. It sucks as a standalone television show. It sucks from a characterization standpoint. It sucks from a messaging standpoint. It sucks from a storytelling standpoint. It sucks from a technical standpoint. It sucks. And it sucks way worse than Thor: Ragnarok did.
Now, this post is not about telling fans of the series that the thing they love is terrible, nor that they’re wrong for finding enjoyment in it. To each their own, live and let live, etc etc. But much like with Thor: Ragnarok, people who disliked the TV series have taken a lot of abuse for daring to express their honest opinions online. What this post is about is tearing down the strawmen about why people disliked the series (no, it’s not about ship wars or Loki not aligning with our “headcanons”) and compiling the abundance of evidence against it into one easily-accessible and referenceable location—both for people who are genuinely curious why some of us couldn’t be less impressed and also for the sake of those who didn’t like it, that they might feel a little less crazy and/or alone.
With that being said, buckle in; I have a feeling we’re going to be here for a while.

This Loki show makes people so disappoint, it has 2.5 million people watch for the first episode, because people are really love Loki and looking forward to see how it his own adventure, but it end up lost almost 1/4 audiences in the end, just because these mess “love story ” and the whole story simply only about Sylvie, Loki can’t even be the lead character in his own show!

correct! :)
Loki is not the main character in Loki, and here's why!
Loki (our Loki, the one who ran away with the Tesseract, the one whose story we're MEANT to be following) has been an entirely passive character. What do I mean by this?
Let's use the finale as an example.
In the dialogue with that He Who Endures or He Who Remains or whatever he's called I really don't care, Loki’s lines were passive, in that he was the one to remark on any realizations, any "aha" moments. "So that's the gambit then?"
In this scene, he only serves as the audience character, feeding us said realizations because apparently we viewers don't have enough nuance to understand it all.
Sylvie, on the other hand, has active lines, in that she is accusative in her lines. She is taking action to say something that's not just a really bad violation of "show don't tell". Ex: "This is all just a game to you!"
Additionally, Sylvie is the "problem", the pest, not Loki. Loki is just "a flea on the back of a dragon" who's just here by some wild chance that he managed to survive. He is passive and she is active.
And this shows in their actions, too. If this was Loki’s show, Loki would have been the one to kill that guy. I'm going to call him the Real Time Keeper because I can't be bothered to remember what his title is. Loki should have been the one to kill him if this were his story, because that is an inherently catalystic action.
I'm not saying that this would have necessarily been an in-character thing for him to do, but the fact that Sylvie was the one to do it demonstrates how Loki is not the main character in his own show.
Part of this is camera work, directing, and editing. We tend to see way too many things that aren't from Loki’s perspective. Even if they simply hadn't shown Sylvie killing the Real Time Keeper, and cut that scene, then we could have followed Loki’s story as he comes to an independent realization that she went through with the kill.
This is literally just basic filmmaking, stuff you learn in editing or production. Whoever has the most closeups and the most narrative focus is the person whose story you are telling. By constantly cutting to other characters' stories instead of following all or most events from Loki’s perspective and "telling" instead of "showing", we are left with boring, irrelevant, lazy storytelling and Loki being a supporting character in the show with his name on it.
Ok but hear me out, Loki as a character was so passive??? Like he literally didn't do anything or affect the plot directly he was just used at places so other characters could do things. All he did was follow along. Tom Hiddleston's version of Loki was there just so that the fans would watch the show, it wasn't about him
