I finally finished this one! I started this sketch ages ago after the new updates to Praetorium, but between masters classes I was only able to get it done now during a vacation to the beach lol My Warrior of Light preparing for round two with Lahabrea.

I don't know about anyone else, but since my WoL is a monk and I already headcanon him as being able to do some wild kung fu shit, taking this to a dragon ball z style super sayian mode was like HELL YEAH

For Kima this is something that only happens when he is tapping into his full reservoir of power. This was not something he was actually at the level of unleashing at his own prior to this moment, but rather it was waiting untapped until Hydelyn gave him a little "push".

I don't really have any plans on a name for this form without it sounding terribly goofy lol but I'm playing around with the moniker of "The Hand of the Mother" as a counter part to Minfilia's later title

While signs of it had brief flashes since, Kima isn't able to tap into this form fully again until the battle with the Endsinger. The power of his friends flowing through him triggers the change again, and now that he's fully aware this time he understands then how this power can be manifested. Through the desire to protect those he loves dear. After this point he's able to release the floodgates at will, though he rarely has the need to as of yet.

As a little homage to DBZ, I mirrored this moment with Goku's first super sayian transformation. In terms of design, I decided to err with just the aether overflowing causing an updraft, thus the super sayian style hair, though it doesn't actually change color [the lighting in these scene just happens to be real intense lol]. Hilariously the fluffier hair and combination of his fangs had an unplanned oni-like effect, but I love it lmao. The real change is from his eyes turning from their regular gold to a glowing blue. And in this case, since the game decided to have him be blasted with a evil spirit bomb, I decided I may as well go the whole way lmao and make him "battle damaged" too XD His outer tunic got obliterated [as did the straps that held on the shoulder guards and bracers]. He probably had to visit Widargelt after for a replacement lolol
