Crazy to me that you all own Pokemon... I guess I'm just looking for an old friend, in terms of Pokemon important to me.

Do not move him if he's unconscious, instead make a broth from Mamoswine meat, bitter root, and medicinal leak and dip the corner of a towel into it after it's cooled down and let him suck on it.

And put a blanket over him. I know it's the warm season but you're in the Icelands so he'll need it.

I hate this... I have to be stuck in the infirmary tonight. Nurse Pesselle says it's because our surveyors are at the festival and so we need to focus on the village, but I can see it in Commander Kamado's eyes that he doesn't trust me to go and not come back.

gcau update!

im doing a second version of the gcau which i just decided today so some things may be retconned this is the version im going to write into the actual fanfiction - main changes are, im erasing the influences from my friends rps on mine.

this means:

rei is no longer married to a volo from my friends rp. he is instead in the early stages of a relationship with the medic alec. he also has not discovered his system yet.

rei is the only other person working with elesa to actually survey, although sometimes Captain Cyllene will join them.

akari has not discovered her system either, and all memories of Carol (a friend's character who effectively was her parent) are gone, though carols influence on her backstory is not.

volo has a... slightly different backstory, as ive been figuring things out with his backstory since i started the rp. the possible bad ending will also be changed accordingly :)

Volo walks up to the house cautiously, footsteps light on the ground. He raises a hand, hesitates for a moment, then knocks.

"Coming!" Rei's voice calls out. It takes a while for the boy to slip on sandals and open the door. "Oh!! Hi!" Rei smiles, looking up at the man.

Volo smiles. "Hello hello, Teru!" He tilts his head, watching the boy. "And how is our hero from another world doing tonight?" He pauses, then laughs. "Actually, let me ask first - may I enter?"

"Yes, of course!" He giggles, making way for Volo. "I invited you over after all! And um... I'm okay!" He says as he steps back and removes his sandals before stepping onto the wooden floor.

Volo smiles, taking a deep breath in through his nose. "It smells good," he says. "You must have gotten very good at cooking in the... Ah, how long has it been that you've been staying home?"

"Umm... It's been a month, I think? And yeah..." Rei laughs. "I have to make sure my husband is well-fed! He works a lot too..." He then perks up, "Oh, please! Take a seat, make yourself at home!"

"I'm sure he does, hm~" Volo tips his hat to Rei and enters, taking off his sandals. "He's a medic, yes? And he works with Miss Pesselle." He smiles, tilting his head as he takes a seat beside the hearth.

"Uh huh! He cares a lot..." [Rei smiles.] "Oh! Are you thirsty? I just made some tea before starting the food..."

"Ah, a drink sounds very nice," Volo says, humming. He smiles at Rei. "I wonder what else your husband may be doing out late as he is..."

Rei nods grabbing a cup and carefully handing it to Volo. "Probably mixing up Potions... Or talking to the zorua." He comments as he grabs the teapot and pours its contents into Volo's cup. "Or maybe he's sleeping. He used to get mad at me for not sleeping."

Volo laughs. "I will say, I have seen him spending time with my own boyfriend occasionally. Maybe he truly is spending time with the Zorua. They are such a sweet species, are they not?"

He takes the cup and blows softly on it, humming still.

"They are!" He giggles. "He said he'll be home by sundown today, so..." Rei stirs the food in the small pot on the hearth. "... What about you? Anything interesting?"

"I've mainly been working to deal with all these legendaries," Volo says, laughing quietly to himself. "Giratina has been rather restless these days, and Arceus... Well. He's been nagging at me. He always is. At least he's not my father... or my mother." He holds a hand to his mouth and laughs softly to himself.

"Oh... I'm... Sorry." Rei isn't sure what happened, but... "... I hope... Things get better for you. And... I'm here if you need someone to just... listen, I guess."

They always told us Pokemon were dangerous, but... I saw that Zorua and it got scared of me. A nine year old. I... didn't know that to do with that, but... Then it helped me despite being scared and a few months later I knew I wanted to help Pokemon. I knew that that was what I wanted to do with my life.
