Hey! I'm Jonathan Raught Jr. and I'm a gym trainer! I mostly go by Johnny though. (He/Him)
I'm Specter and I'm the gym leader at the Effrayinte City Gym in Kalos. (Also He/Him)
We're best friends!
You're like a little brother.
Asks are open! Neither of us know much about how Rotombir works, but we'll try.

TW FOR DEATH AND SUICIDE/ SELF HARM TOPICS ON THIS BLOG
OOC: Johnny is a conduit for a ghost-type gym leader, named Doe Dykei who is, ironically, a ghost.
The purple text indicates that Doe is possessing Johnny to use his hands to type.
This means Johnny and Doe are on the same page.
Sometimes, Johnny’s family jump on. They include: Hanako (She/Her), Johnny’s 18-year-old cousin
John Sr (He/Him), Johnny’s dad, who is also a ghost who can’t possess people
Taro (He/Him), Johnny’s oldest uncle
Fulano “Lano” (He/Him), Johnny’s middle uncle
and Max (He/Him), Johnny’s youngest uncle
Johnny types without commas. He is pretty young after all.
Only people who challenge the gym learn of the ghost thing, since Doe goes by the alias Specter and only does interviews through voice.
Even then, Doe has challengers sign NDAs so that they can only disclose the gym leader’s pronouns, type specialty, and how hard they thought the battle was.
Suffice to say that not many people know Doe’s a ghost.
I like to think that Johnny likes being theatrically possessed and likes the element of surprise while Doe doesn’t want a kid to deal with paparazzi.
Johnny has a fascination with death. He is a weird 12 year old and Doe was 32 when he died.
Whether or not your character knows that Doe is a ghost can be up to interpretation.
I, the OP, am an adult and use she/her pronouns, but don’t mind being called a they/them.
No NSFW stuff with Johnny. He’s 12.
Things can get a little suggestive with Doe and Johnny’s uncles, but not Johnny.
for those with one or more pokemon, do you consider any of them to be kinda uncommon? like in relation to what region you live in and or here on rotomblr
i think my answer for my pokemon would maybe be pangoro? my place of residence is in paldea and i cant really recall having seen anyone else with a pangoro or a pancham there though i dont doubt that there are some around, i also rarely see anyone with a pangoro or pancham here on rotomblr
if i was back in galar with my mam though my answer would be sawsbuck
same question regarding names, like do you consider any of your pokemons names as uncommon? again, in relation to what region you live in and or here on rotomblr
i think my espurrs name being eilwen is pretty uncommon, havent seen it anywhere on rotomblr at least
I’ve caught many a strange species of Bug-type for the area that I am in! Heracross, for example, isn’t commonly found in Viridian Forest or the surrounding area. I’d actually captured Azure during a trip to Azalea Town for a bug-catching conference! But perhaps the most strange encounter I’ve ever had was when, during one of my many expeditions to Viridian Forest, I had been studying the behavior patterns of a Spinarak— a fairly uncommon species in the area. It crawled its way towards leaves that smelled sickeningly sweet, and thus I followed close behind. I thought nothing of the matter (there are plenty of sweet-smelling plants that greatly appreciate the presence of bugs to spread their pollen around) until all of a sudden, the leaves suddenly snapped shut right before my eyes! Pinprick eyes stared back at me between the gaps of its massive green teeth protruding from its maw. In a panic, I jumped back and did the first thing that came to mind: throw the Pokeball in my hand.
The Pokemon was caught without much of a fuss.
Never once had I ever heard of Carnivine being found in Viridian Forest before. When I told my tale to the Professor, he was rightly perplexed! But as it turns out, Carnivine HAVE been reported in the area before, though extremely rarely. The last reported sighting was documented as far back as 2009! The Carnivine now lives under the care of the Professor, as I haven’t the resources to care for such a Pokemon and I wouldn’t want to threaten the safety of my Bug-types with an insectivore.
I suppose this technically does not fall under the given parameters since this is not a Pokemon I currently own, but I felt that the story was interesting enough to share!
The only pokemon I have native to the region is my gengar Cherry. Litwick is pretty common in the Celestial Tower in Unova where my cousin caught it for me; Beacon and Thimble are apparently rarer. I was lost in Paldea when Beacon found me, and Thimble was abandoned here in Kanto, officer Jenny said she’s still investigating, but nothing has come of it.
I wouldn’t call Honedge rare in Kalos, but it’s not exactly common either.
As for names, everyone in my family names their mons after dead people, and none of us repeated a name yet. I would feasibly believe that there’s other Banettes named Henson. I doubt anyone else’s named their mons Beowulf or Betzalel, though.
Rotom are kinda rare! There’s probably other Teslas. This one’s mine tho!
Talanted, brilliant, incredible, amazing, showstopper, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, shit on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it
Can I challenge your gym? (If so I'll send a new ask in character)
That depends. Are you in the same universe as me? If not, is it one where I exist? If I exist in your universe, do you have the other 7 Kalosian badges? If you don’t, then no.
If I don’t exist in your universe or you do have all 7 other Kalosian gym badges, you need to sign an NDA saying you won’t disclose personal information beyond the gym leader Specter using he/they pronouns, that I specialize in Ghost types, and how difficult or easy you thought the battle was.
