“you should show me how to do that once.” zoe exclaimed upon watching her friend do a couple of tricks with her steele. of course, she herself was just sitting on a bench, observing the scenario. after all, fighting wasn’t really her knack. “not now, though. i’m too tired.”
the young nephilim was properly enjoying herself since parties had always been her thing. holding a red solo cup in her hand the blonde was mindlessly dancing, catching up with people she hadn’t talked to in a while. there were far more downworlders than zoe had assumed there to be which was far better than seeing too many shadowhunters-- she wasn’t too fond of her own kind anyways. “hey! wanna dance?” she called out to the nearest person, a kind laugh escaping her lips.

“i don’t know..” zoe sighed as she sat down with the familiar brunette. “i just don’t feel like going on missions and fighting demons even though i know it’s my destiny and all, but-- i’d rather stay far away from all that and just live my normal life. my parents would kill me though.”

the blonde stood on the sidelines as she watched two nephilim fight-- only practicing, of course. despite people inviting her to join them, zoe never had any attention to actually do it and much preferred to cheer them on and have a coffee. life was much more relaxed that way. “you did well,” she shot shiloh a smile once he decided to take a break. “..surprisingly well.”

SITTING ON A PART OF THE COUNTER at greene’s deli, it was relatively slow at the moment. for once instead of being glued to her computer or tablet researching something or another, athena was lazily swirling blue magic around her fingers. she knew that as a warlock, she had a long time before she would be skilled as any of the older warlocks she had heard of. jumping when startled as the door suddenly opened, the little wisp of magic formed into a ball and whizzed past the person’s head. “i apologize! i just got startled and it wouldn’t have hurt, i promise!”
“phew, that was a close one.” zoe laughed it off, having dealt with many inexperienced warlocks in her short life. she always had empathy for unskilled people, probably because she wasn’t that skillful herself. “i just wanted to grab a quick sandwich and i’m honestly feeling so attacked right now.” the blonde mused in a joking manner as she made her way to the cash register.
