“I Wish I Could Float” Sometimes when the world feels heavy and nothing we do seems to be getting us anywhere, I like to believe there’s a corner of the ocean where you can rest and feel safe… like this song by Leslie Grace says, “Making peace with the tide, without thinking where it leads.” How hard it is to cling to ourselves when we feel it’s not enough… but it’s only temporary because we never know where the current will take us.

Currently, this material requires a long drying time and humidity; however, the breaks that occurred at the end worked wonderfully to make it beautiful in a fragmented way…

🌊🐋 Whale Days is finally out in the world. A small illustrated book born from salt air, quiet thoughts, and the slow rhythm of the ocean.

This project grew from my love for the sea, for drifting feelings, and for those gentle, floating moments where everything feels both vast and intimate at the same time. Each page is a pause… a breath… a tide coming in and out.

I hope these whales carry you somewhere calm, somewhere deep, somewhere honest. 💙

It's been a beautiful journey exploring different types of illustrations with whales 🐳 as a central inspiration. It can be difficult to feel inspired at certain times, but what your own creativity can bring can be magical 🪄 These whales were made with much love over the years, and it's not over yet. In the meantime, we can continue dreaming about the ocean…
