This might be somewhat irrelevant, but how do you think Belmont/Faranell (but mostly Belmont) reacted at Calia making Forsaken help Greymane retake Guilneas and subsequently giving it up themselves? Cause I remember (as a Horde player obvsly) that questline well; Belmont saw many die for Guilneas…Yorick, Forward Commander Onslaught, etc. It was a meaningful battle with loses, I doubt he’d be pleased at Forsaken suddenly becoming the my little pony “friendship is magic” allegory
I think neither of them were enthusiastic about the idea, but they recognized that they're in no position to challenge the worgen + the Alliance right now and it's best to give their lands back for the sake of keeping the Forsaken safer
Also I realize it would've been more complex writing for the quest writers, but if Belmont is in charge of the military I would've loved to see him there begrudgingly helping out, and the tension between him and every Gilnean within a 10 mile radius is so thick you can chew it
