He shook his head. No one touched his blade. Other than himself, of course. He kept it safe and out of the hands of other people or creatures. It was a gift, from someone he’d revered at one time.

Staring at it in silence, Corsola curled her hands tighter, shoulders tense. She had been expecting this since she had been brought to life again, and some part of her was glad to see the divine, but a bigger part of her was afraid.
Rae had warned her.

Slowly, she released her hands, and met him halfway, monstrous fingertips meeting his little human ones. They were trembling, but wrapped around his rather gratefully.

Where was the fun in that? He stared at her, the touch of her hand on his own, bringing back memories of a time that know one would remember, other than her and of course, himself. He’d treasured her at a time, still did. But she was afraid now. Perhaps old wounds couldn’t heal.
❝I.. I wouldn’t dream of hurting you.. The past is the past.. We can fix this.❞
The feeling of her hand on his own was intoxicating, her energy was like a drug to him. Something deep, hidden inside Tom was trying to awaken.

He read what the beast wrote, calming down a bit as he stared at the whiteboard. He remained silent himself, trying not to laugh at the squeaking of the marker.

Looking away briefly, she brought her hands to her chest, clenching them silently. Then, she appeared, coming from nowhere yet everywhere, long fingers curled together at her front. The blank face stared down at him, white hair and dark red dress fluttering silently in the breeze.
❝ you worry me at times, dear. ❞
Is all she says, her voice carried on the wind like a distant song —– unspoken by moving lips, unsaid by mortal tongue.
❝ and i’m not in a very strong state, currently. ❞
He looked at her, a wash of relief overcoming him. There she was. He finally found her again. He approached her slowly, trying not to scare her.
❝Please... I know you’re weak at this moment... But I am not here to harm you... I know you’ve been fearing our meeting but-❞
He offered his human hand to her, trying to contain his excitement. This was actually happening. He finally had her before him.

After a moment of staring it pulls something from its ribcage, a white board with a marker on it. It tries to write ‘i caNT speaK’
He watches the whiteboard, seeing it scrawl something along the lines of English. He tilts his head.
❝Well, what is your purpose then, monster. Try to explain as simply as possible.❞

Remaining silent and in the gentle embrace of the trees, she eyed the human before her with a vague sense of longing. The creature was never really sure if she trusted Rithend at all, his violent nature was an angry red flag in her gut that she could never really lower —– no matter how many times he said he’d never hurt her.
Honestly, she wasn’t used to being afraid, but she couldn’t say she wasn’t. Her fingertips trembled slightly as they curled around the bark of the closest tree, waiting for him to become angry, or worse. If he remained calm, she’d come to him, but then, and only then would she impart with her snowy forest.
He was becoming impatient. Like he’d scared her. Why was she still there... Why was she watching him, rather than approaching him.
❝I swear to you, darling, I will not harm you. I give you my word. Please come back to me.❞
His hands began trembling as he looked at each branch, listening for her breath or movement. Something that would show him where she was.

He shook his head, backing away from the creature.

He placed his hand on the hilt, revealing his knife as he backed away from the beast.

Her presence made his skin crawl with goosebumps as he looked for her. He always knew when she was around. This feeling was more than familiar to him. He was hiding his positive reaction to her being near him.
❝Is that you? Where are you?❞
His body shifted as he looked around for her, his desperation to see her finally becoming evident as he turned quickly. He glanced in all directions, trying to catch a glimpse of her.
