Honestly, Bloomsbury has killed my buzz for this book. I’m only hanging in there for Elucien. But the one thing that will reignite my passion like the fire of a thousand burning suns is watching the unhinged E/riels crash out.

As someone who has been attacked and called variations of stupid for years, I will not feel ashamed of the fact that this will bring me immense pleasure. I am not the bigger woman. I will revel in the glory of Elucien.

And if I’m wrong, I’ll be done with the series anyway so there’s nothing left to lose from my side and I may as well be a chaos agent.

Not every scar is visible, many are carried quietly and hidden behind smiles. Elain and Lucien have both been through so much in their lives, but they still choose not to give up.

I think one of the most beautiful things that will come from their mating bond is the chance to heal with someone who understands the weight of quiet pain without needing it explained.

Love can’t erase the past, but it can make healing a little easier. I really believe they’ll find the peace they’ve both been searching for in each other 💖

Elucien week day 4- Arranged Marriage

Lucien and Elain fit the arranged marriage trope so perfectly! Even though they're so conflicted with how they're feeling, they cannot deny the constant pull they have for one another. I love the idea that Elain and Lucien would have a ceremony that mixes fae and human traditions, or have a human wedding and Fae mating bond ceremony!

I also imagine Elain and Lucien acting like they've accepted their bond to try and put up a unified front, only for that tension between them to build when they are 'putting on a show', blurring the lines of what's real and what is an act.

Of course we know, it's all real, they're just too stubborn to admit it!

Little Mermaid Metaphor

There is a scene in Little Mermaid where Eric is playing his flute and Grymsby tells him to just stop searching for the lost girl and move forward with the young lady (Ariel) who is quietly stealing his heart. He then looks at Ariel from her window and a tender smile steals his heart. Metaphor to Azriel's obsession with searching for his mate that he is failing to see what is in front of him (Gwyn). #Gwynriel #Azriel # Gwyn #acotar

I'm not saying that three brothers and three sisters are "so cliche, so predictable, so boring" because i'm not gonna lie, i have enjoyed this type of plot (books, tv shows, manhwas, etc).

I'm saying, in THESE particular books, that would be lazy writing.

What i like about the trope, is that each of the couple fell in love on their own, not because "my brothers are with these women, so of course i have to be with their sister!! It's the logical thing to do, that's what i deserve, i'm entitled to this woman!"

This, this i hate. I loathe entirely.

And that's what elriel sounds like to me.

Just reading azriel say that because his brothers are with nesta and feyre, the cauldron obviously made a mistake and that he has to be with elain.

That's not what i want to read. I want to read azriel say how much he loves elain and all her qualities, how he wants to build a future with her, how he imagines their life together.

Not how he jerks off to her at night and don't care about anything else.

I will never forget the night i stayed up until 4 am to finally watch the CHD podcast and getting so excited to have the official release date for the upcoming acotar books, then nothing.

3 months later and freaking nothing.

I’m starting to think they will only release the goods 3 months prior to the book, so I guess end of July…
