So much unfolded between the pages, but before ACOTAR began… I like to think there were quiet moments like this. A dozing Lucien, a calm Tamlin, and a stolen moment of peace between all the courtly chaos.

I truly hope we get more of this duo in the upcoming books. Tamlin and Lucien deserve their happy endings… but they also deserve to find their way back to each other 🧡.

Gwyn Berdara, from day one, was a heroine. Even on the most horrific day of her life, when fear and trauma could have consumed her completely, she still chose to save those children.

That’s who Gwyn is at her core, compassionate, brave, selfless. Not because it was easy, not because she was unafraid, but because even in unimaginable pain, her instinct was still to protect those children first.

Some people survive darkness. Gwyn walked through it and still carried light for someone else.

feyre is very possessive of lucien, she treats him similarly to nesta tbh, where she kinda hates them (more strongly by rhysand proxy who gets all of feyre's ugly emotions cloaked as protectiveness and care) but also states she loves them. but she only loves them in this way where she wants them dependent and close to her and not having a life outside of her. so she insults nesta's company and the band of exiles and wants lucien to live in velaris and keeps nesta's room vacant for her. and thankfully lucien tells her that this weird possessive martyrdom ruins his life as it does with nesta, fully so in acosf

Meanwhile I’m over here obsessed with Lucien, Elain, Eris, Jurian, Vassa and Nuan (who only appears for like three pages) and who could really care less about any of the Inner Circle outside of Mor.

The answer is Cassian though. Specifically ACOMAF/ACOWAR Cassian.

Feyre says it : “a lady, that’s what Elain would become.” Lucien says it too. “My lady.”

And she is all of that … with everyone except Lucien.

With him, she ignores. Avoids. Withdraws. Very un-ladylike. Very intentional.

That’s the point. Lucien pulls her out of the neat, curated version of herself.

Meanwhile Mr. "If I offer you the moon on a string, will you give me a kiss, too?” Vanserra suddenly doesn’t know what to do with his words. Or himself.

He overthinks. He falters. The charmer goes tongue-tied. The lady stops being polite.

Together they'd learn to stop pretending, to stop performing...

With Elain, Lucien won’t have to be clever. Just honest.

And Elain would stop hiding behind politeness. With him, she’d speak when it matters. Push back. Choose herself.

They’d bring out what the other keeps buried. Her steel beneath the softness. His gentleness beneath the bravado.

- Nyx got his name in a bonus chapter

- Chaol’s entire journey was set up in a bonus chapter

- Sarah told her friends on an Instagram live to read the Silver Flames bonus chapter because she left breadcrumbs that tie into the main story line. She even went as far to say she wants to hear her friends theories after reading said chapter.

Theories for what exactly? Where the story might go from there.

I’m sorry but the Bonus Chapter has buried Elriel.

I doubt she wrote that line because she was in a silly mood. Just because it’s in a bonus chapter doesn’t mean it cancels out.

Before it becomes a trend, Lucien has been my favorite male character since the first book and he has NEVER lost that spot to anyone.

The scene in ACOWAR where Azriel says Elain is a seer isn’t the “gotcha” people think it is.

Yes, Madja said that a mate would know what’s wrong. Elain’s confusion over her visions was just a part of what was wrong with her. She was also severely depressed and traumatized.

“She doesn’t need anything,” Azriel answered. “We’re the ones that who need.. a seer.”

This quote doesn’t prove Azriel is her “true” mate because he’s only focused on one aspect of Elain’s problem. Instead of attempting to help her, he focuses on how she can help them. For someone like Elain who pushes her pain aside instead of dealing with it, this isn’t beneficial for her. And mind you, the Inner Circle (including Azriel) never attempts to train her magic and help her control the visions.

In comparison, Lucien is focused on Elain’s mental well being because he understands that she went through something horrific.

“Take her to the sea. Take her to some garden. But get her out of this house for an hour or two.”

Instead of focusing on how they could benefit from Elain, he’s focused on what could help Elain.

Just like a mate should.
