Barista! Pavitr x Artist! Miles

Miles came into the cafe for some chai tea, to see his friend Gwen on her shift and make some art while relaxing in the cafe. Instead he got some Barista who looked very annoyed when he tried to order and then became very passionate about ranting to him about how people say chai tea instead of just saying chai. Miles didn't mind him lecturing him on it though.

At least it was from someone so cute.

The customer who he learned was named Miles from Gwen, did not show up the very next day again much to Pavitrs disappointment. After the talk with his Maya Auntie, he wanted to make sure he apologized properly, but it had been about two weeks since he last saw him. He thought back to their last interaction and didn't remember anything he did or say to warrant him not come back again. Hopefully he did not cause another misunderstanding and he was just overthinking it as usual. 

The cafe was less busy at the moment, as it was the middle of the day most people were either working or in school at the moment. So he took advantage of this moment to just stare into space. Honestly it was not his fault, he was cleaning but he was just so bored. He hated slow days. Maybe he could call one of his friends to keep him company, while he did enjoy Ben's company at a certain point he needed a break from the man and his dramatic flair and Gwen wouldn't come until much later. Gayatri was here earlier but she left as soon as her shift was done. ‘Hmph Traitor’ 

While lost in his train of thought he didn’t hear his name being called.

“PAVITR!” 

He jumped and froze a bit outta shock, he turned to see who called his name with such urgency. Turns out that person was Gwen. She looked frustrated with him at the moment.

“Oh! Hi Gwen!” He beams a smile at her, but she gives him a frustrated sigh in response. 

“Pav, are you okay? I have been trying to get your attention for a bit.” She gave him a bit of a concerned look. He just shook his head in disagreement. 

“No, I'm okay. I am just so bored. Are you clocking in now? I thought you worked later.” Maybe he got the times wrong. 

“Hm no. I am not working yet, Ben is covering my shift for a bit longer, said he needed the cash. I will work later though.I start when the rush starts later at around 3. You’ll be working with Ben til then?”

He groans. More Ben. 

“Don't worry I heard that Lyla is taking over more shifts when she comes back.”

“Lyla is coming back?! I thought she quit because of school?” He said in disbelief.

Gwen chuckles. “Yeah, but remember she was going to come back when her mister as TA was over. Mr. O’hara is a hard ass.” 

Lyla used to work at the cafe when she was 16 until her 2nd year in college when she became a TA for her class. Apparently Mr. O'hara, who he has heard so much about, is very strict and hard to please. It takes an extreme amount of effort to pass his classes. Before her no one wanted to deal with him, many of his former TA’s would quit within a week so it was surprising that she was his TA for a whole year. She actually recommended that they hire Gwen.

“I am excited to see her again. I missed her so much!” Pavitr really meant it, they barely saw her when she was TA but when they did it was always a joy. 

“Yeah, it’s gonna be great to work with her.” Gwen then looks around the cafe. “Hey Pav, since it's slow, why don't you take a break and hang out with us.”

“Us?”

“Yeah, me and Miles.” She points in the direction of where Miles was sitting. It seemed that he was lost in whatever he was writing, or was it drawing. He couldn't really tell. 

“Oh, um, I wouldn’t want to intrude! Besides, I am still working, never know when it needs to be all hands on deck.”

“Fine. But can you make me my usual and Miles some Chai. I swear he is addicted to it. What did you put in it to make him crave it all the time? Drugs?” She jokes.

“Of course not! I am just that good.” He smiles. “Anything you want to eat with it?” 

“You know what, can I get some strawberry cheesecake and for miles, get him two croissants buttered and toasted. I’ll pay for it now.” He nods. 

“I’ll bring it over to you guys when the order is done then.” Gwen hands him cash, and tells him thanks before walking back to where her friend was. As she seats down he goes to the coffee bar and gets started on the order. At least now he had something to do that wasn't just recleaning everything to look busy. As he started to focus on making the order, a certain someone was using him as a reference for his art studies. 

Miles was mesmerized by the way Pavitr moved while making their orders. The sun seemed to always hit him with the right lighting. His hair was so majestic, so dark and lucious, and his eyes were so bright and beautiful it pulled you in. He wanted to capture it in his art. Even though they were quick sketches, he was pretty satisfied with where the art direction was going. He was so focused he didn't notice Gwen calling him. 

“MILES!”

He jumped a bit and looked up to see Gwen just staring at him. 

“Oh! Hi Gwen, "he smiles. She gives him a sigh.

“What is up with you and Pav today?” She sits down next to him. “So what's got you all hyper focused?” She leans to look at what he is drawing in his sketchbook. A bad habit that he just accepted over the years that she will forever be nosy and can never control her curiosity.  She looks at his sketches and then at him with a raised eyebrow. “Pav?”

He looks away from her for a bit and rubs the back of his neck. “Yeah. He’s just so mesmerizing, I had to draw him. You don't think he would mind right?”

Gwen chuckles. “I don't think he will mind once he sees the work when you’re finished with it. Are you sure it's only cause he is mesmerizing?” Miles, knowing what she was implying, shakes his head. 

“It ain't like that. I just thought he would be nice to draw ya know.” He turns back to continue drawing Pavitr. 

“Yeah right. Just like how you drew me before in high school cause I was nice to draw.” She teases. 

“That was different. I just met him, plus I didnt even introduce myself. He doesn't even know my name.”

“He does. I’ve talked about you to him before.” She mentions nonchalantly.

“That doesn't count, I have not introduced myself as anything other than the customer you corrected the other day.” He looks at Pavitr making the drinks to see what new position he was in to quickly sketch. “Anyway. When does your shift start?”

“In about an hour and a half. So I get to bug you more!” She lightly punches his shoulders. He just rolls his eyes and smiles. Gwen is one of his best friends, every just flows so naturally when they are together. They just vibe. He sometimes sees her as an annoying sibling that likes to bother him from time to time. His father could attest to that, calling her an emo leech who liked to come over and eat. Even though he wouldn't say it out loud he was very fond of her, like a reluctant uncle who has an honorary niece he had no say in. 

About 15 minutes later, he started to try and add more details to the quick sketches he made of the barista while Gwen was talking to him about how her band were prepping to do more shows and the difficulty to get everyone's times synced up.

“Yeah, our lead guitarist is also very inconsistent even though he usually has the most time out of all of us. Though I will say, I do enjoy being a part of this band more than the last one.” 

“That's great you finally found one that suits you. I know you’ve been looking for one ever since I met you.” 

“Yeah, now if only we can sync up so I can play more. Margo said she could help us with our scheduling problem. I believe in her, if anyone can help us organize our messy style it's her.”

Margo was a computer science major, and was practically a tech wiz. She was also extremely detail oriented and particular with her things. It was really funny because Ganke was the opposite of her while also being a tech wiz. They would always group up together even though they clash with how they do things. If you ask them why they always partner up they’ll tell you that it's convenient because they have so many classes in common.  

“Thank Pav!” He hears Gwen say, taking him out of his train of thoughts. He looks up from his sketchbook to see Pavitr places their order in front of them giving them a smile that rivals the sun.

“No problem! I hope you guys enjoy!” 

“We will!” Gwen grabs her drink and takes a sip. “Pav, I don't think I have properly introduced you to my friend. Pav this is Miles, he’s been my best friend since sophomore year in high school. Miles this Pav the chai activist.” She teases. 

Pavitr hesitates to respond but Miles does not. 

“Hey man, it's nice to finally properly be introduced to you. I realized I never gave you my name before, sorry ‘bout that.”  He gives him a small smile. 

“That's no problem! I know our first meeting wasn’t the best, sorry about that.” Pavitr rubs his neck a bit nervously. 

Miles gives him a small chuckle. “Its no problem man. Like I said before I didn't mind being corrected. At least I won't be sayin ‘Tea Tea’ anymore. Feel free to tell me any other things I may be sayin wrong.”

“Well people like to say ‘naan bread’ which is the same as saying ‘bread bread’.” Miles groans in response.

“Youre kiddin! I've been saying ‘bread bread’ this entire time?!” 

Pavitr laughs and relaxes, he finally apologizes and it seems he really was worried for no reason. Miles was very respectful and liked to lighten the mood. He can see why Gwen liked to hang out with him a lot. 

“Well now you know.” He teases. He sees Miles take a sip of the chai he had just made.

“Man, this really hits the spot. You know your stuff.”

Pavitr’s skin turns a bit redder at the compliment. “Thanks.” 

Just then a group of teenagers walked into the cafe which caused Pavitr to sigh. He was just getting to know Miles but he guesses the conversation would be cut short for another time. 

“Looks like duty calls for me. I guess we have to cut this conversation short.” He pouted a bit.

“Don’t worry Pav, we can always talk later when I work on shift. Plus Miles will be coming here more often. He said he likes the cafe vibes. I think he is really here cause I’m so awesome he can't handle not havin our vibe sessions as much.” She jokes.

“Yeah right. I’m glad I don't have to see your face as often. Plus who said I am coming for you, if anything it's Pavitr’s Chai that’s bringing me in here.” Miles jokes back to switch Gwen just rolls her eyes. 

“Sure buddy, whatever you say. I know you love me.”

Pavitr chuckles as he walks away. “Well I’ll talk to you guys later! Enjoy your stay Miles!”

“Hey! What about me?” Gwen shouts a bit to him.

“You're gonna be working later!” He responds before arriving at the coffee bar.

Gwen groans. “He’s right. I do love working here even if not all the customers are great.”

“At least you have me here to keep you company. You can’t get rid of me easily.” Miles gives her a pat on the shoulder. 

“Yeah you're right. Are you gonna stay the whole time? You know I can go home by myself.” Miles just shakes his head.

“My parents would kill me if I don't walk you back late. I know you can handle yourself but you're like my sister I gotta make sure you get home safe.”

“Yeah, thanks Miles. I appreciate it.”

“It's no problem!” He goes back to continue his art trying to capture Pavitrs essence on paper. Gwen peeks again to see his process. 

“You sure you're drawing Pavitr just for reference?” She teases.

“Oh shut up!”

Mumbattan Cafe Ch.4

Barista! Pavitr x Artist! Miles

A long time ago his mother told him something that had always stuck with him. ‘Our family doesn't run away from things Miles.’ Something he would recall whenever he was unsure about a situation he was in where he wasn't sure if he should confront it. Honestly he wanted to make sure the air between him and Pavitr was clear, from yesterday. Gwen talked to him about the cute barista and encouraged him to talk to him, but also warned him that Pavitr liked to run away and hated confrontation  Plus he wanted to make sure he could always get the best chai if he wanted to hang out at the cafe more.

He felt a bit bad for putting him in an uncomfortable spot but he didn't want him to dwell on it forever. It would literally eat him alive. He did not mind the outburst from Pavitr, he clearly was passionate about his culture, and wanted people to take the time to respect where he food and drinks come from. Miles could respect that, if someone was misinformed about something he was proud of, whether it's his hobbies or where he comes from he would also want to correct them too. 

So that's why he had no problem directly asking for Pavitr to make his chai again, but he could tell that the barista was not expecting him to show up anytime soon. His shoulders were tense and his eyes looked wary. He looked ready to fight or flight, like a kitten unsure of a stranger's next action. 

But he just shook it off and gave him his best reassuring smile instead, which confused Pavitr. 

“Uh hi? I am not sure if you remember me from yesterday? I was the guy you correct on how to pronounce ch-”

“I remember you!” The barista interrupted. Miles' eyes widened a bit at the outburst. 

Pavitr, realizing how he sounded, quickly tried to make the situation less awkward. “Um. I mean I remember you. Sorry! I mean sorry for the outburst! Not sorry that I remember you.” Pavitr wanted to crawl away at this moment. He just made the awkwardness worse!

Miles just chuckled. “No sweat, I understand. I just wanted to apologize to you.”

“Huh? To me? What?! Why?” Pavitr mentally cringed. Could he just talk to this customer normally for once. 

“Yeah, I didn't know that Chai meant Tea. No one ever bothered to correct me before.” Miles rubbed his neck a bit. “Kinda embarrassing that I've been saying ‘Tea Tea’ ever since I tried the drink.”

“Oh.” ‘Oh’?! Was all Pavitr could respond with?! This customer came back to apologize to him. He should be apologizing instead, but he is such a nervous wreck he is malfunctioning a bit at the confrontation. Could his luck get any worse? He was so sure that the customer wouldn't be back so soon.

“Yeah, so I was hoping you could make my drink again? It was really good you have a gift man.” Pavitr felt his cheeks heat up a bit at the complement. 

“Really? Thanks, I'm guessin you want to use your free drink right?” He could only assume that's the true reason why he was back so fast. 

“To be completely honest with you, I forgot about the free drink and left the card at home. I really did enjoy drinking the chai you made. I can just pay normally, I just couldn’t stop thinking about it.” Pavitr paused a bit in disbelief at how nice he was. Usually a customer wouldn't come back or would ask to speak to his boss which was his Maya Auntie and complain about him. 

“I’m glad you enjoyed it. I can still give you that drink for free since you did get one on the house. You could use the free drink card for another day” It was the least he could do. 

“Really? I appreciate it man!”Miles beams a smile at him. “So there's no hard feeling between us right?” Pavitr heastates a bit.

“Right” He finally answers. “So is it just Chai today?”

“Hmm. Maybe one of those coconut biscuits? Gwen brought me some the other day and they were amazing.”

Pavitr nods. So him and Gwen were close enough she would share her treats with. She didn't even let hobie take a cookie from her last time and almost bit him when he tried to sneak one from her stash. No one touched her sweets, but she willingly gave this guy some stash. That was hard to believe.

“Only one?” He asks. 

“You know what? You're right, I can’t  just grab one, can I get 3 instead then? I should definitely give my roommate one and save another for later. I’ll pay for them then”

Pavitr nods, putting it into the system. “That will be $4.37” 

Miles hands him a five dollar bill. He gives Miles his change back, then he goes to grab the coconut biscuits. Once he grabbed them he handed them to Miles in a bag. “Your drink will be done soon, you can wait over there.”

“Thanks!” Miles beams at him before heading to the waiting area and watches as Pavitr makes his drink. 

Once done he hands Miles his drink in a to-go cup.

Miles immediately takes a sip and lets out a sigh of satisfaction. “Yeah, this really is the best chai I’ve ever had.” Pavitr chuckles. 

“My Maya Auntie makes it better though.”

“So I’ve heard, but regardless so far, you make it the best” He winks at Pavitr. “Thank you for the free drink!”

“It’s the least I could do! I honestly thought you would not be coming back!” Pavitr mentally cringed again. Really? ‘I honestly thought you would not be coming back!’. Why does he not have a filter on what he says sometimes?! 

“Are you kidding me?! You make the best chai of my life and expect me not to come back!?!” Miles grins. “Plus Gwen told me how amazing this place is to work at and I have to support her love for this place too!”

Pavitr chuckles. So he likes to support his friends, he guesses this guy really isn't so bad and he was overthinking everything a bit too much as usual. 

“Well anyway thanks again! I'll be back again soon!” Miles walks away as he waves bye at Pavitr who returns the gesture.

“Thank you for coming to Mumbatton Cafe! Please come again!” Once he left his Maya Auntie appeared again. 

“Is that the young man you yelled at yesterday?” She asks. 

Pavitr whipped his head and turned to her a bit pale and his eyes widened. 

“H-how di-?” She chuckles at him.

“Gayatri did not tell me, but Ben ratted you out. Apparently he found out from Gwen.”

Seriously?! Could he ever get a break.

“You're not in trouble. It seems that he is a very understanding individual according to Gwen and Gayatri when I asked them about it. I am glad you apologized and that the air is clear between you two.”

His eyes widened again. ‘Shot!’

She immediately notices his expression. “Pavitr. You forgot to apologize, didnt you?”

He just groans in response. “I forgot.”

She shakes her head. “Pavitr next time you must remember to apologize. It seems we will be seeing him come more often here, so there will be plenty of opportunities to.”

“Yes Chachi.”

While Pavitr was beating himself up on forgetting to apologize, Miles also realized something.

‘Shot! I forgot to introduce myself! I know his name but he doesn't know mine!” Miles groans before sipping his drink again. ‘It's a good thing I have another reason to go back now though. Just gotta remember to introduce myself next time’

sorry for sending another ask lolol, but what would I say was ur favorite scene in my punkchaiflower Snow White au?

I dont mind! I believe its in part 2 I LOVE the part where Pavitr and Hobie just flirt with miles and make him flustered its so cute! I could imagine Pavitr flirting with him and then leaving him flustered and tryin to calm down only for hobie to come in and flirt more with miles. I got also see them tag teaming and flirting with miles cause miles to malfunction. Cute shy miles is adorable

so I wrote a little oneshot to go deeper into this

“So that’s how ya ended up in this forest huh? That explain a lot, considering this isn’t the type of place for cute princes like yourself.” Hobie said, draping an arm over Miles’s shoulder. The pair were walking in the woods, the sun slowly starting to set. Hobie had asked how Miles ended up here, and Miles gave him the answer, this time in more detail.

Miles felt his face get heated up at the older boy’s comment. “Oh yeah, but you know the whole ‘stepfather tried to kill me thing’ because of how I’m somehow ‘the fairest of them all’ so it was kinda crazy.” Miles looked down, still remembering the fear he felt running in the woods and seeing all those scary hallucinations.

“So in summary,” Hobie said, “your asshole of a stepdad was pissed because you were way prettier than him?”

Miles swallowed a loud scream in his throat. “I-I mean,” he said, clearly flustered but trying to hide it, “you’re kinda oversimplifying things here, especially with the way prettier part, you don’t need to exaggerate me that much-“

Miles was interrupted by a small peck on his cheek, immediately shutting him up.

“Luv, listen to me,” Hobie began, “You’re the most beautiful boy I’ve ever laid my eyes on. Everyone would agree, especially Pav.”

The british boy looked up at the birds in the nearby trees, who were casually following Miles as he walked around. “Ain’t I right?”

The birds chirped happily in response, nodding their tiny heads.

“See,” Said Hobie, cupping the prince’s face, “even your little friends agree. And they can’t possibly lie about that now can they?”

Miles hid his face in his hands, trying to hide his embarrassed face. Hobie only chuckled.

“You’re so adorable sunflower.”

“LOOK OUT!” Pav yelled, trying to guard Miles with himself from the supposed threat. The songbird in his way stopped abruptly and chirped angrily at him, annoyed by Pav’s antics.

“Pav, really, you don’t need to do that anytime something comes near me.” Miles said, putting a hand on Pav’s shoulder.

“But I have to you know? I mean, you’re a prince, there’s a king wanting to murder you, you’re incredible and smart and absolutely gorgeous, so you’d be the perfect target for someone to kill you or kidnap you! I just wanna keep you safe meri jaan!”

Miles’s eyes widened, his ears and face feeling hot. Pav looked at him for a few seconds before gasping with realization. “Oh, I was rambling again wasn’t I?”

Miles nodded, trying to hold back and sign of being flustered. “Y-yeah, you called me ‘my love.’”

Pav smiled. “And you are!”

Miles hid himself in his hands, making Pav laugh out loud.

Trying new things! I always like to try out things outside my comfort zone in hopes to find something new to love

Dancing. Its a good exercise outlet. I will beat you in just dance xD. Also learning kpop dances from time to time (im bad at dancing but the vibes will be good 😊)

Any 42 miles X peni headcanons?

Some headcanons and ideas I have on this ship are:

42!Miles and Peni met in middle school when Peni moved from Tokyo to New York.

Peni is smart and figures out that Miles is Prowler but decides not to say anything and try to mend their friendship by talking to him about him

Miles freaks out about her spider and Peni likes to tease him with it

Miles thinks her Spider is just a pet and tries to avoid it

Hell yes!!!! I love this au idea so much!!! Theres so much potential in different ways it can be done. Like if you go the spiderverse route miles while still being new to spiderman accidentally dropped into kingpins collider after he goes back and sees spiderman fighting prowler. Then miguel find him, you could go the lost his memories route which makes it easy for miguel to manipulate him. Itsv still happens with 1610 peter. You can also take reference plots from the tangled show how mother gothel left her daughter to go to rapunzel, miguel leaves miles for his alternate daughter. Miguel convinces himself that he is keeping miles trapped for his own good and the multiverse but lyla likes to let miles use her to see the outside world behind Miguels back. Hobie comes and they go through an adventure of dimension hoping before landing in universe 1610.

You can 1610 peter live or still die fighting kingpin in the final fight instead proving miles was not the reason for his death.

The traditional tangled route would also be great, like I can so see Aaron stealing with Hobie and Hobie betraying him which leads him to chase Hobie. Aaron feels something when he sees miles but choses to brush it off to hunt down Hobie. Aaron and Miguel team up before Aaron finds out the truth.

To address my rant last night I want apologize. I came from a place of anger because I was tired of having friends and people I like to follow harassed by people calling them proshippers and all the anger blew up in my face that I didnt see that I was breeding more harassment and hate. Honestly waking up and rereading my post and seeing @13keithxpidge13 and @shipcourse-sideblog response helped me also see that too.

I was coming from a place of so much built up tiredness and anger and that not right. I should not be promoting this kind of thing.

PROSHITTERS ON AO3 RANT

For ship stories:

Arachnitech has 70 stories, Chaiflower has 55, Byteflower has less.

Now ghostflower has a bit over 500, and punk flower has almost 500, the top two ships for miles. Ghostflowers been around since the first movie in 2018 and punkflower is very popular for obvious reasons.

BUT guess what gets third place and is rising for people to ship 15yr old miles with? FUCKING FLOWER FANG WITH ALMOST 300 FANFICS ON AO3. This is just on ao3 it could be more on other fiction sites like tumblr but wtf. Please go after those guys.

I really hate proshippers. Miles is 15!!! I dont care if you age him up to 18, the fact that people think lemme age up this 15 year old to 18 to be with this man in his 30s is insane. Whats more insane is people going after punkflower shippers instead of these people. Hobie age is not offically confirmed but Miguels is.

To address some things, People are not understanding my rant is about people needing to go after actual proshippers instead of harassing those who ship things like punkflower. Okay I don't want to start any shit or anything because I don't like confrontation but sometimes, I gotta speak up mkay. Not everyone will speak their mind about it but I will.

First off, everyone is entitled to their opinion and to say whatever they wanna say 100%. That's totally fine. But, actively encouraging people to go after others over FICTIONAL CHARACTERS THAT DO NOT AFFECT REAL LIFE WHATSOEVER is something I just find distasteful.

Punkflower shippers are attacked everyday bc of what we ship and we all preach about not wanting to be attacked over fictional characters, yeah? So let's all do the same and not stoop to other people's level of being jackasses online. Attacking and harassing another person who writes fanfiction just isn't where it's at for me. Ive seen this done in some fanfiction I have read and think it sometimes adds on to the visuals of the story whether its the characters, backgrounds, outfits, etc. I would love to see more artwork done on ao3. Also Jeff is close to spiderwomen (like how him and miles are in the movie) and understands what shes tryin to do, doesnt think she killed peter, but Gwens dad believes she did .They dont see eye to eye on the subject but cant arrest spiderwomen without proof Miles falls first but gwen falls harder <3

Peni is still linked to her spider but doesnt do anything with her abilities cause she is confident in her abilities. She becomes good friends with 42!miles maybe due to being paired together for a class project or something. At some point she starts making comments about how the prowlers suit could be improved etc, and she goes on tech rants around him and he find it cute <3
