the way bear looks almost angry at nikki here is making me pull my hair out. i mean, on the one hand, she’s obviously embarrassing him, but alternatively, she’s not only teetering dangerously close to exposing the truth, but she’s reminding him the true nikki, deep inside, would never love him this way. a love only the branch of a willow tree could conjure. this isn’t real. you were hopeless until you forced fate’s hand.
