HiPOD 26 Apr 2021: Exposure of Rocky Fill in Roemer Crater
This image features some of the rocky fill in higher relief in the eastern part of an ancient, 120-kilometer diameter impact crater in the Noachis Terra region of Mars. The crater was just recently named for University of Arizona astronomer Elizabeth Roemer (1929-2016).
