Heyya. I'm Ren and welcome to my blog!!

Should Nina die at at the end of the main story?
yes
yeah
no (you can choose this but she's dying anyway)
obviously, she can't be the survivor of the game
sure, but make an au where she lives
I say let it die! let it die let it die!
wassup, funny question but do you think ronald dyed his pubes blond too or do you think they're still his natural hair color?
I can't believe this amazing question got lost in my inbox.
I'll have to say no in the scenario that he has no one to show them to. Let's assume the man's single and no one gets to see him naked below the waist. In that case, he simply won't bother wasting dye on something no one's gonna appreciate anyway. Wasted time, wasted dye and wasted money.
BUT if he has a partner on the other hand.. Yeah he'll dye his pubes. For one, he can't let anyone know that he isn't actually a natural blond, considering that that's what he advertises himself as. That's one too many secrets exposed. For two, he has to look good for his partner. Unlike Norton, he clearly knows of style and what looks good and what doesn't. He can't really strip naked with mismatched colors going on. Blond up there and brunette down there? That just won't work.
But this then makes me wonder how often he dyes his pubes. Again, probably not more than necessary. Maybe if there's a chance of the day ending in bed he'll simply prepare his hair a day before, but omg imagine an unexpected turn of events where you just want him out of nowhere and he has to hold himself back because he didn't dye his pubes beforehand so he has to either reject your advances and thus have his erection go unattended to OR hope that the room will be dark enough for the mismatched colors to go unnoticed.
Wow I like this scenario..
Norton used to have thick eyebrows for sure, before one got blown up..
Nina was sold to the Devils Dance Casino at the age of 15 and has been working there as a Croupier to buy off her freedom ever since. So I was thinking about the maths of it all..
A young womans freedom would've cost about $800. As a croupier, she only made $2 a day, which means that it would've taken her 400 days to pay for her freedom. IF we don't count in her uncles debt and the cost of living (living space, food, clothing, etc..)
Her uncle went to the Devils Dance Casino for about 10 years, at least three times a week, spending the money of Ninas parents (who passed away due to a sickness) for his gambling. Considering how unlucky the man was and how much he lost due to the gambling, we can assume that he owned the Casino a lot of money. The guy died, the debt goes to Nina.
Now, it seems like it would've been impossible for Nina to pay for her debt and her freedom in the span of seven years, and you'd be absolutely right. BUT, here I come to patch over that plot hole. The casino was a highly beloved place and it consisted of three floors. The first floor was for the commoners, the second for those who had more money to lose and the third for the rich men who didn't even care about how much they made or lost. Now, there was also the basement.
The basement was for the criminals, gang members and such. They had their own secret entrance and no one from the upper floors knew of them. Those criminals were dangerous and working as a croupier for those tables was a high risk of losing ones life. Especially because a croupiers main job at the Devils Dance Casino was to bring more money to the establishment through cheating, through their skill of sleight of hand.
For example, Billy was Ninas colleague who worked in the basement while she occupied the second floor. He was caught giving better cards to one of the men and therefore was taken away and then sent back in pieces. But, despite being a very dangerous job to have, the boss of the casino paid much better to whoever dealt for those tables. Naturally, being as desprate and determined to get back her freedom, Nina took that position.
The first few months are the most dangerous ones. The croupier isn't even cheating yet, for they have to gain the trust of the criminals at the table. The bad part is that even looking as if you're cheating will get you killed. One has to hope and pray that the cards won't look suspiciously dealt. Luckily, Nina passed those few months and only then she began to secretly give her people better cards.
That's how she paid of her debt and her freedom. Now, of course, the boss kept the fact that she has paid it all off for two years which ended in Nina shooting the man for it, but that's beside the point.
And that's how I patched up the plot hole that only I noticed to begin with.
I have to give her some bad traits so here we go :D that also makes her a coughing pair with Norton
Been thinking about post main story Norton.
Obviously he loves animals, but imagine his interaction with his farm animals that he required after events of the main story. Like, he bought himself a small house far away, close to a beach and he has his own chickens that he feeds and talks to because there's no one else to talk to..
"Eat well, grow healthy.. and fat, so I can make stew out of ya"
Oh he'd absolutely wear a straw hat too. He'd be outside in the hot sun for hours, refusing to go inside until the sun went down. He'd find things to do, to built or fix, as long as he gets to be under the sun and clear sky. Then when the sky would turn from blue to orange, he'd sit at his porch on a rocking chair and write in his notebook or read a book until the sun was all the way gone. He would then take the candle that lit his pages and walk back inside and feel pleasantly tired.
Which he'd never get used to. There was no such thing as pleasantly tired in his previous life, only extremely exhausted. And yet here he was, ascending up the stairs after washing himself up, heading to sleep in comfort and safety of his small bedroom. Tomorrow, he'd would wake up early, perhaps six in the morning. Not because he had to—there was no money to be made or employers to appease to—but because that's how he was wired to wake up.
And he still had chickens to feed.
Sooo I was listening to “Senses” by MICO and why do I feel like that song describes Norton in a relationship 😔
Omg you might be onto something. Especially with these two:
"Someday I know / You'll come to your senses, and leave me alone"
UHH stop that's too close. Omg I've made so many posts mentioning his fear of his s/o one day seeing him the way he sees himself and then leaving him..
"I heard you snap at your friends / Said that you're happier now, in defense
'Cause I know they hate how you changed into someone you're not /Just to make it make sense"
Like omg I can't. Changing yourself just to make it work with Norton is so real. The things one would have to adapt to to make it as his partner are insane. His personality, his trust issues, his identity issues, his mommy/daddy issues, his anger issues, his incredibly low self esteem, his depression, his loneliness, his deep rooted hatred for the rich and the ones who had it easier than him, his dislike for touch, the blood on his hands, his nightmares, his inability to sleep without a light on and the fact that's he's not living to see his 50s. I feel like I missed a few things but you get my point..
OH WAIT THIS ONE TOO
"Know you fell for the person / That tried to be someone they're not"
Any kind of relationship with him would be built on lies. If he told you what's going on in his mind and to what his mental health led to (the accident), I doubt that in a realistic scenario you'd want to start a romantic relationship with him.
Was thinking about my fantasy AU and whether I want to shove Nina in there. She might be a Court Jester like Joker since croupiers are also a sort of entertainer like clowns. BUT, I might change that because Court Jester is already Joker's occupation.. UNLESS I give the castle a whole group of entertainers. That way, having two Jesters wouldn't be so bad, and it would give me an idea of where to put Mike and Natalie
And also Norton is here because he's here, being a warden and all. And he's not that buffy, it's just armor.
can you use a ouija board on ghost norton?
You can but I doubt Norton would enjoy communicating that way.
He has a big vocabulary, a way with words, he uses phrases, references and metaphors quite a lot, so until you decipher that little smartass jab he threw your way he'll get bored and maybe even irritated.
But, whether he's pissed by how long it takes to communicate or not, he'll stay until you decide to wrap it up. He was lonely while alive and he's lonely while dead, so when you take out that ouiji board and call for contact, he'll be there. But maybe stick to yes or no questions, that'll move everything quicker. And he'll form his questions and exclamations as short as possible too. Might even talk like Rocky from Project Heil Mary.
Also, he might try to scare you into removing your fingers from the triangle just so that he can stick himself to you and finally escape the place he died at. Quite selfish from him, sure, but he's stuck in a cave where the worst and last experience of his life happened, so go easy on him. He just wants to see the sun again, the sky and people. How life around has changed, how the humanity has evolved while he was stuck down there.
Actually, he'll most definitely go through with it. Like, everytime you take out that ouiji board, just know that Norton is scheming on binding himself to you. He also doesn't mind it being you too, like at all. You're probably one of the biggest upsides of the whole plan, right after the possibility of seeing the sun and the sky.
not sure if this has been asked before but: what do you think norton would do if his partner were to be flirted with right in front of him? 👀
Oh he'd be pissed.
And who in their right mind flirts with you in front of him anyway? Have you seen him? Norton does not look like a man who takes any advances at his s/o slightly, no matter how respectful or sweet the person is being. To him, you are way out of his league, so anyone trying to woo you will be viewed as a threat to his peace with you.
I'm still confused about how anyone could think that flirting with you in front of him was a good idea. He might not he the most affection guy in public or private, but it is still blantenly clear what kind of relationship you two share. For an example, he enjoys holding you hand. Constantly, especially if in a crowd where one could lose the other. Also, just look at his body language. It speaks for itself.
He'd be taken aback and deeply offended by the persons advances at you, while he's literally right there. Probably would make him question whether you two even look like a couple, but that thought would drown in the sea that are all the rude thoughts he has for the individual flirting with you. His glare would and probably is burning a hole in them.
But I doubt he'd call them out on it, since his face is doing a great job without words needing to be included. Oh I love the idea of him having the best "I'm pissed/disgusted" look. Like, it'd be so good and strong that it'd make anyone feel ashamed for whatever they did. Anyway, if his neutral face wasn't intimidating enough to keep away the person interested in you, then his silent angry face will definitely scare them away.
Like, a man with a huge scar on the left side of his face and a tired look glaring at you like he's about to set you on fire from the will of his mind alone must be at least a bit unsettling. Just a little.
Afterwards, whatever place this whole scenario took in will leave a bitter taste in his mouth. If it was like a city sight or a café (how did he afford that anyway?), he'll not return there if he has a say in it. Might be a subconscious thing.
Guess who finished watching first season of Peaky Blinders :D
I made up my mind; any version of Norton without a crooked nose doesn't exist to me
Up- and downsides of being with Norton Campbell
Norton is a good listener, but he's very bad at comforting
Think of the time period after the accident in the mines. He recieved a few good words and was then left alone to deal with what he has done. Even though the whole accident happened because of him and he's fully at fault for the deaths of the other miners and the hell that were the two days where he dug his way out of the tunnels, not having anyone to talk to about that experience left a deep scar in him.
Who if not him knows better about the pain of not having anyone willing to listen to you? So, if you need to rant about something that wheighs on you, he'll be there to listen.
But, he's terrible at actually comforting. Going back to the time after the accident and honestly to his whole life in general, he hasn't been comfortable himself, like ever, and thus he doesn't know how to do it. Also, remember that he's a man living in the late 1800s and early 1900s. A man talking or at least knowing how to talk about feelings is unheard of for that time.
Conclusion, if you're looking for words of comfort, you'll be deeply disappointed at what you'll get from Norton.
He's an honest man, but he's also a liar.
Norton is very honest, most of the time it crosses the line of being rude. He's mostly open on what he thinks of you or anything else around him. He's outspoken about lazy people, rich people, the injustice of being poor, etc. I assure you, you'll know almost everything about his political views, his morals and his other anger based thoughts in a span of few weeks.
But, he's a liar. He'll never tell you that the accident was caused by him. If you're someone he actually cherishes and loves, he won't tell you the truth because he doesn't want you hating and eventually leaving him.
If being dishonest is what it takes for you not to see him as the monster he truly is, then he's fine with decieving you for the rest of his life.
Conclusion, your whole relationship is built on a lie since the beginning.
He has many layers to him, but the last is truly terrible
On the outside, Norton is reserved and gloomy. He has layers to him that have to be carefully peeled off to reveal the golden heart that he has. At his core, he's truly a kind person. At least he was, but eitherway, the more he knows you, the more of his true self he shows to you.
But, on the same note, he has something in him that we know of as Fool's Gold. If we see Fugo as not an entity but rather a name to describe what Norton truly is, it would describe his worst side. Greedy, selfish, lonely, arrogant, willful, gloomy, sophisticated, hypocritical, ruthless and numb (didn't take this out of my ass, it's all listed on Fugos deduction quests).
At first, you'll get to know one side of Norton, the first layer of him, which is the reserved, rude and sarcastic one. Then you'll get to know his kind and softer side. In the end, you'll see the worst side of him too. Step by step.
Conclusion, there are too many sides of him and each worse the deeper you look. It'll be hard to accept and love all of them.
He craves touch, but he also rather hates it too
"A little sweetness can make a desperate man lose his damn mind"
He doesn't know how much he wants physically affection until he finally gets it. His whole life he didn't really experience it, though I could argue that perhaps his mother was quite affectionate in the hugging and kissing way. Eitherway, he'll want physical contact from his partner. He quietly loves the little things such as holding hands, leaning against ones shoulders or just sitting closely to one another.
But, he also hates physical touch. Call him a hypocrite, if you will. Since he isn't used to physical affection, it's no suprise his body doesn't like it if not just straight up rejects it. He had been hit, punched, pushed and kicked, and now you're reaching out to cup his face? That can go well, but it most likely won't. At least at the start of the relationship.
Conclusion, you don't always know when he's willing to recieve physical affection. It can get agitating.
He's set on providing for you, but he's never home
If you two are married, Norton's determination to better his and therefore your life will double. He has been raised with the traditional beliefs about being a man and thus the provider of the family, so he'll try his hardest to give you the life you deserve.
But, he's never home because of it. Trying his hardest to fix things financially will break things romantically, y'know? He's constantly gone, you rarely see him and when he's back home, he's too tired to actually bond and spend the time as a married couple.
Conclusion, your husband might as well be a ghost.
He's willing to heal, but he has too many issues
Despite being a stubborn man, he's not blind to his obvious mental issues. He knows of his trust issues, mommy and daddy issues, etc. He might not know all the names and terms, but he's aware of them nonetheless. He'll try to heal, especially if it means finally allowing himself to love you fully.
But, he still has too many mental issues. Staring a relationship with him would be a disaster waiting to happen. Too many things will be handled in a toxic manner. Very little in his life is approached healthily, so what exactly makes you think that he'd have a healthy approach to anything in the relationship itself?
Conclusion, he'll be a bad partner. He'll love you and cherish you, but he'll be still cutting low at almost all categories of being a good partner.
I think that's all.. gotta paint my favourite character as somewhat flawed
URUEUEUUE FANTASY JOKER OMGGG
Imagine him with a love that Is one of the workers?? and they have to be together in secret ofc! but imagine someone harassed his love? I think soon the victims would become the people that bother them and then it might escalate-
AND IMAGINE IF THEY FOUND OUT IT WAS HIM??? OMG WHAT WOULS HE DO TO KEEP THEM QUIET?? probably not kill them I don't think he could bring himself to, but- OMG WHAT DO YOU THINK??
OHHH I love Joker so much. And guess what I also love? JESTERS
Maybe his s/o or love interest could be the King or Queens servant, like Ladies Maid or Valet. Someone very close to his or her Majesty, who would be with them at every step of the day, thus witnessing the shows Joker puts on for the amusement of the people around. I doubt he'd notice you at first, for he tends to look over the crowd in attempts of ignoring their redicule and mockery, but eventually you'd become a familiar face amongst the others.
An upside of his mask is that no one call tell where he's looking, so as long as his head is turned to the King and Queen, he can watch your reaction. Are you laughing with them? Are you finding amusement in his display of misery? Hopefully not. Even the smallest chuckles would break his heart. Though, of course, there's a difference between laughing at him and with him.
You know the little flower on his little hat? That flower is also included in his jester design and one day he'd offer it to you. Not during the show, for imagine his love interest rejecting the gesture and making him even more of a joke in the eyes of others? It'd happen somewhere quieter, as you were running your errands for his/her Majesty He'd appear out of nowhere, bow just a little and extend the little daisy.
ACCEPT THE FUCKIGN DAISY
And you wouldn't see his face under the mask, but you better believe he's panicking and sweating and probably regretting every moment he thought of gifting you this pathetic flower. But do not fret, for you accepted the little daisy and made his day so much better.
Maybe what you two have is a relationship as much as it is a courtship. I personally like the process more than the result.
Now, being his/hers Majestys personal servant, not many would dare to disrespect you in any shape or form, so Jokers victims wouldn't have anything to do with you. In fact, everyone he "un-faces" (I came up with that) you wouldn't even know by name, let alone closely. He wouldn't want his flower to be sad by mourning someone unworthy of a face.
But, on the occasion that it does happen, the bullies death is inevitable. He killed people that have caused him misery and pain, and nothing pains him more than seeing you in a bad mood due to some imbeciles words. They will have their face cut off, without a doubt.
AND IF YOU FIND OUT? Uhh poor Joker, he's gonna lose the one person that cared for him. Well, I don't know about you but I personally would break up with a psychopath, but that's just me. Oh he would beg for you to stay and understand. Cause you don't understand, you wouldn't be able to understand the mind of a broken and sick man like him. Eitherway, he'd beg till he loses his voice, if you gave him the time for that to happen.
There are two choices that can be made in this scenario. One, you somehow escape him before he goes from begging to actually taking action. Now, this isn't guaranteed to end well. Assuming that in this au he's more unhinged than in the canon, he'll try to find you. He might succeed st it too..
Two, you stay, for some reason. This can be cute if you're a bit of a psychopath yourself and don't care for the people he murders. Otherwise, you'll live in constant fear and horror.
Eitherway, things are going BAD. There's the third option, which is giving him over to the guards and have him executed. This would save you, but mentally, you're still wrecked.
I've been replaying the main story and NORTONS VOICE IS SO HOT
Oke so I'm not sure who's gonna take out Nina cause she is not getting out of the manor. I could pick Orpheus.. but he is already busy with Norton. Melly could be it, but she's also busy.
Idk maybe she just slips and hits her head and dies or something.
When Norton was younger, about 12 years old, he was so into piercings that he pierced one himself and got it infected. Turns out, a rusty stud through your nose bridge isn't the best idea. His father had to constantly rub cheap alcohol into the wound for it to slowly heal. That took several painful weeks. He never got a piercing again.
