I waited over an hour just to get through and almost every seat was gone but somehow I still got the one I wanted. The power of patience (and nonstop refreshing). Haha.

comparison is the thief of joy
I came across a post about someone grabbing photos here on Tumblr, running them through AI to alter how the person looks, and then reposting them on another platform.
That’s honestly unsettling and borderline disturbing. A reminder that posting photos publicly doesn’t feel as safe as it used to. I should start making sure to only upload photos where my face isn’t visible, or at least partially obscured. Better safe than be altered by AI.
I used to think being interesting meant being loud and distinctive. Having a clear aesthetic, a niche, or something that made people immediately understand who you were. For a while, I felt like I was falling short of that. But lately, I have realized that I am okay being the “boring” girl. The girl with pin straight hair, wearing simple clothes, and not particularly drawn to trends. Nothing about me demands attention at first glance, and I am starting to see that as a kind of quiet strength instead of a lack.
What defines me is not how I present myself outwardly but how I choose to live inwardly. I value being well educated, well read, and organized. I like understanding things and constantly improving myself in ways that are not always visible to other people.
I was once pressured to be “that girl,” but now I find peace in being the boring one.
