anyone remember hozier? that wild son of a gun loved church
He recently invaded an apartment block with a bunch of homeless people and barricaded it from being retaken by the cops to protest Ireland’s disgusting treatment of the homeless and highlight the crisis we’re facing
It was fucking awesome
wtf I love hozier now
http://www.irishcentral.com/news/politics/celebs-hansen-hozier-ronan-lead-illegal-homeless-uprising-in-dublin I cannot believe this is real
He’s also a champion against domestic violence and abuse and quietly donates to a lot of charities and shelters for DV victims. It’s what his entire ‘Cherry Wine’ song was about too. Hozier in general is a great guy.
Trump’s Muslim Ban Realized
Today on 1/27/17 Trump closed America’s doors to refugees, indefinitely, banned immigrants from several countries, suspended the Visa program, and effectively left untold numbers of people stranded–including those with Green Cards and especially those with no where else to turn who had already been approved to come here.
It is not a ban purely on Muslims, just on specific (majority Muslim) countries, so there’s a chance it could hold up in court.
He signed this executive order on Holocaust Remembrance Day. Even if he didn’t understand the significance of that, I have no doubt Bannon and the other nazis on his staff did.
This is monstrous.
Donald Trump has ordered his new administration to publish a weekly list of crimes committed by immigrants. The US President’s sweeping new executive order on immigration, which he signed on the fifth day of his presidency, includes a paragraph mandating the Secretary for Homeland Security to “make public a comprehensive list of criminal actions committed by aliens” in the US. The list will also include details of so-called “sanctuary cities” that refuse to hand over immigrant residents for deportation.
Donald Trump is a Nazi. He has assembled a cabinet of Nazis to run his fascist regime. He doesn’t call himself a Nazi, because Nazis never do. From the start “Nazi” was an insult. We all now face a choice in how to respond to this. We can either resist or collaborate. There are no other options. This is a decision we all face, but it is a particularly pertinent choice for the American people, and, crucially, the political establishment in America. Both Republican and Democrat politicians need to choose, are they going to resist or collaborate?
Make your choice now, before people start being rounded up and put in camps, before tanks roll out and bombs start falling. If enough people choose to resist now then the worst can still be avoided.
this is literally how the holocaust began. I’m saying this as a jewish person - one of the very first things that was important to hitler was painting jews as a scapegoat for most if not all of society’s ills. this is the same exact thing. first comes this - blatant propaganda meant to demonize immigrant populations. next will be the deportations. then will be the rounding up of people deemed “dangerous to society” and either mass imprisoning or murdering them. this should terrify everyone.
“Over the past year, most of these funds you will see on the various websites have already exhausted the legal aid that they have raised. That is why we are even in the position we are in today where the pipeline construction has been halted.
Let’s make sure that they have EVERYTHING they need to fight off the Dakota Access Pipeline. Let’s make sure they have every type of attorney they need. Let’s make sure that they have the funds to fight this battle on the front lines and in the court room.
They are counting on you. Give your best gift today, please. And encourage everybody you know to join you.”

i love her
Remember, Debbie Reynolds was so much more than just Carrie’s mom. She was a beautiful, amazing, wickedly funny woman in her own right. She loved her daughter and she made her daughter who she was, but it is a disservice to her memory to shrink her down to just being Carrie’s mom.
Also, because it needs to be said, Debbie was a huge supporter of the mentally ill. She helped found The Thalians, a mental health charity in 1955 and served as chairwoman for the organization for fifty-six years. She was an amazing woman and will be missed.
There are so many beautiful things on the planet like the light leaking under my curtain lighting up the tips of my eyelashes, and the way water runs in a river when it thinks no one is watch, and the way light illuminates dust particles so you feel like you are living in space, and the way a leaf falls off a tree when you’re watching it fall. And it is so slow and so small but the sound it makes is magnificent. And the way the air smells outside when you know it’s going to snow. There are so many things that are so beautiful and I am terrified but I’m alive.
