Shy Jensen

This man will be the death of me…

I found this quote from Jensen being interviewed by a Japanese magazine. “Yes, I’m very shy, but I do my best to work around it. I know it may seem strange for an actor, but acting is a good way of overcoming this trait.” 

You have no idea what this means to me, being someone who hates public speaking and has general public shyness. To see Jensen Ackles, a man who has done SO much to excel in his field and become such an amazing actor, and to know that he’s dealt with camera shyness in his early career… It’s so encouraging. 

My family always discouraged me from trying things to do with the performing arts, like singing and acting. I’ve always really wanted to try them but they advised against it, saying “You know how red you’ll get if you mess up.” “Not everyone’s cut out for that kind of thing.” “You should stick with what you’re good at, like writing.” I know they meant well, but consequentially I grew up thinking I was tone deaf and unable to speak well in public. Neither is true, but those doubts became part of who I am today. I wish I had tackled that shyness when I was younger, instead of wrestling with it now. BUT, this gives me a little hope. 

Moral of the story: Don’t let your fears or quirky traits keep you from whatever you love. Some would say an actor can’t be shy, but they would be wrong. Same goes for whatever people say you can’t do. Jensen could have had parents that said “you’re too shy, stick to sports” and then we wouldn’t have the incredible actor we have today. Always fight for your dreams <3 Go do whatever it is you really feel longing for and work around any disadvantages. Just because it’s hard doesn’t make it the wrong path xx - deanandidrinkcoffee

A little Techno angst cause I been feelin bad.

Silk textures against rough warm skin,,

Delicate hands glazing over soft pink skin,,

The days never wanting to get out of bed are the ones that last the longest.

A pasture, horses grazing every way you looked,,

Lucius green textures on calloused, worked, hands,,

White daisy covered fields, a meaning only known to one.

A gentle breeze, a simple wave,,

A world of wonders, left a mind to wander,,

Left a mind to circle endlessly, defenselessly.

- Oh girl, it's you that I lie with..

"Hey. I have,, Per se, a question." Pure curiosity, no. Fear."Continue.." Not a glance from his book, seen as annoyance.

"Uhm.. Uh, n-nevermind-" A choked noise, gone in the wind, into the back room.

"Okay-?" A glance, a worry, a glint of remorse.

- As the atom bomb locks in..

"Hey! Look I got some daises!" A smile, happiness, for once..

"That's great..? Uh, did you got to the field..?"

"Oh- Yeah, I did.. I just wanted to get you flowers-" Fear. Why are you so scared?

"I could have gone with you.." Confusion. Where's my pet name..?

"I-I know! I just didn't wanna bother you.." Absolute utter confusion.

- Oh, it's you I watch TV with..

Endless pools of tears, almost like the void,,

A snow storm, so white it was just a sheet of paper,,

"W-Where is he-?" A broken sob, a scared quiver.

- As the world, as the world caves in.
