Today we celebrate a brown man, whose people were second class citizens, that conquered death. Whose rose from the grave after being publicly executed because he spoke out against a colonial government.

His legacy and resurrection have inspired countless rebellions and revolutionaries. Jesus Christ has been a guiding teacher for so many activists.

So today, do not sanitize his death. Remember it as a revolutionary act.

there are 7 baptisms today, including two sisters (they look to be 6-7ish), and upon being asked if she consents to baptism, the first one goes 'sure!' instead of 'i, do with god's help', and upon hearing how much happy laughter it brought the congregation, second sister struts forward half way through her turn being asked if she consents to being baptized is even finished and yells 'TOTALLY!!!!!!!' at the top of her lungs i adore children
