You gotta click the pictures for somewhat better quality but here are some pictures of my altar to Aphrodite today! I’ve recently been using this little green garden table I got (it was $5 at Five Below) as a tiny shrine/altar to my personal patron goddess, Aphrodite!
Some of my favorite jewelry (a pearl necklace and some gold, dangly earrings)
My two favorite perfumes (a vanilla scented one from Victoria’s Secret and Princess by Vera Wang)
Some really cute faux flowers from Michaels (one is in that little makeshift vase which is actually a cleaned out vintage-looking glass apple juice bottle! I feel like Aphrodite is a DIY queen and appreciates it)
A few gems (amethyst, rose quartz, and a quartz “point”)
Some of the best sea-shells I collected over the years (I live in South Florida)
A gold stand mirror from TJMaxx
Some nice-smelling candles
And a dried flower from the first bouquet a lover ever gave me (which I use petals from in a lot of love spells!)
Also, while I prayed to Aphrodite (I asked her for help with my self-image and relationships, among other things), I burned some patchouli-scented incense, and- with some of the ashes- I drew a heart with an arrow through it on the table!
I really like this altar! It’s a super cute addition to my room and I love being able to so conveniently pray to Aphrodite whenever I need guidance (or just wanna gossip lol). I’ve given her some food offerings as well (I offered a piece of homemade cake recently) and she’s really been helping me!
Side effect, though: everytime I use the altar to pray to her, I get a STRONG desire to scrub down my entire room and entire body no matter how clean it or I am. I’m already off to clean my room right now.
