thinking about when a few of my friends started talking about how horrible men were and then turned to me and were like "oh but not you"

ok whats so different about me, what makes me the outlier, is it that we're friends, is it that im trans, is it that im feminine, what is so different about me that im the exception to your hatred of men

my point is i understand distrust and fear of men, it is justifiable when i am part of the apparent 3% that has not SAed someone, i often fear other men myself in fact, but hatred of a whole group of people simply because they were born men isn't ok, because not all men are evil

this is not meant to be a "not all men" post, what i am trying to say is not that you need to trust all men because "not all if them are bad" im saying if you automatically assume all men are evil it promotes men being actually evil

again i am not saying "trust all men bc not all men" i am saying do not talk down an entire demographic because of their gender as it simply promotes them acting in the way you expect them to act

i also think this factors to why i see so many cis girls seeing trans men as "better than" cis men, it causes an inherent separation of trans and cis men, and creates the expectation that a trans man is automatically better simply because he is trans, and not because of who he is as a person

i honestly believe this is an effect of women pushing against the patriarchal society we live in and thinking it needs to be women > men rather than women = men, or because currently society acts like women < men (just take a look at wages) and in an attempt to tip the scales they do exactly what many men do, which is put down the appearance of women simply because they do not appeal to their standards, or say they hate women because xyz (though i admit the given reasons are often much more malicious than those of women)

in order to have equality we cannot advocate for equal hate, that just makes more hate, we cannot have hating all men because so many men hate all women, and as i have stated so many times before, this is not a "not all men" post, i think distrust in men is very justifiable, you do not need to love all men or trust all men, you simply cannot hate all men, you can hate most of them for doing the horrible things statistics say most do, but hating all men will do nothing but make more hate

just spread love not hate, the last thing we need in this world is more hate with all the hate going on, don't needlessly hate on people simply because of something they cannot control, you can hate most men because so many of them are rapists, you cannot hate all men because that is unfair to those who haven't

tldr stop hating on all men, hate the men who rape and murder and abuse, don't hate the men who haven't

again, spread love, compliment a random person's outfit, tell somebody they're pretty, you have no idea how much it could make their day, maybe they thought they were ugly, or that their outfit was horrible
