I just want to point out how this picture, next to being one of the greatest gift to a fandom, also features Mr Duchovny’s phone screen showing what appears to be the Camera application.
Did he ask for a picture to be taken with his phone to add to his personal “Gillian and I” album? Or was it a casual lying-in-bed-with-your-ex-costar selfie?
It’s been 3 years today and this picture still ruins my life.

The seventh time Mulder thought he might love Scully was when he had to choose between her and Samantha. There was no way he could prove it was Samantha, of course, but he KNEW it was Scully. He agreed to make the trade.
The sixth time Fox Mulder thought he might love Dana Scully was also the second most terrifying moment of his life. She had been taken from him (again), by a man who would show no mercy if he murdered her. He saved her (not that he needed to; she could save herself) and he held her as she cried.
The fifth time Fox Mulder thought he might love Dana Scully was when she smiled at him after waking from that coma.
The fourth time Fox Mulder thought he might love Dana Scully was after she had been returned from where ever Duane Barry had sent her. She was lying in a coma, suspended somewhere between life and death, and he knew if she died there would be nothing left in the world to believe in and no one left to trust.
The third time Fox Mulder thought he might love Dana Scully was after she had gone missing; as he fastened her gold necklace around his own neck.
The second time Fox Mulder thought he might love Dana Scully was in a cemetery on a rainy night in Bellefleur, Oregon. She was shivering and her lips were blue and he was running on pure adrenaline, but in that moment it didn’t matter because they had solved a case that would completely and utterly change their lives forever.
