It's one of those unforgettable moments that happen as a child, when you discover that all along the world has been betraying you.
Nicole Krauss, The History of Love
It's not just gifts and material things that make me happy, but also those little things like, I dunno, letters, mixtapes, small presents, homemade food, hugs, the act of sitting beside me... those simple pleasures of life anybody barely notices.
the simple pleasures of life.
The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves.
William Shakespeare in some play, but I read of it in John Green's The Fault in Our Stars
"Why We Broke Up", or the first book of 2014.
But it did tell me about how a girl would feel given certain situations. How you spot people who like you and whatever. How you don't rely on another person to make yourself whole - that it's a decision, and one that you have to make yourself before other people can actually come into your life to make you more whole, more beautiful.
See, I think the point of it is not finding another person with more stuff in common with you (although probably 99.99% of the time that's the deal with couples who end up marrying each other), but finding a person who accepts you for who you are and who you accept for who they are and where the both of you are honest with one another.
I just think that if I tried cataloguing all the special crap from special people (not guys, but those friends I held special) and giving them back, my room would be empty. Except maybe for a couple of books, my laptop, my music devices and my pens and papers and paints and brushes and stationery. And I wouldn't entitle that compilation of letters "Why We Broke Up" but rather "Why I'm Alone".
The commentary doesn't really solve anything but I can tell you that the book is good, and if you're looking for another sappy reminder of your sappy loneliness in this sappy world where most everybody is probably sappy or crazy or a jerk, it's even better. However, the ending is hopeful so if you like sad endings, don't read till the end.
We don't forget. Our heads may be small, but they are as full of memories as the sky may sometimes be full of swarming bees, thousands and thousands of memories, of smells, of places, of little things that happened to us and which come back, unexpectedly, to remind us who we are.

Well because I'd been photodumping I realized maybe I should post more photos here.
This came from a "field trip" day to the Mind Museum in Taguig, which was an optional thing in one of my general education subjects (Marine Science 1).
Mind Museum!: Art an Science - Robots (and Aedi actually talks!) + Emotion - Quotes (The Brain + Being a Fossil + The Past and the Future)
You may or may not know me based on these pictures. For some reason, and also to say that the May trip late uploads are concluded, I decided to upload significant, nostalgia photo triggers that may or may not reveal my name to you.Â
Hello there! I'm Tanya. I'm 18, I'm Filipino, I study European Languages (Spanish) in the University of the Philippines, and I'm a photography enthusiast (as can be derived from the photodumps in this blog). ^_^
Yeah I don't understand the photo arrangement either but...: Plans - Nights in the University - Sky and Hot Chocolate - I miss Math
October 16 (Philippine/Normal Time) [Late Upload #9] - Key West! (Or What We Got There, It's Not Much): Defunct Bridges - Beach - Clouds Are Fluffier in B/W - Sunset On The Road
October 14 (Philippine/Normal Time) [Late Upload #8] - Orlando Universal Studios!:Â Hello - Harry Potter - Thinking every which way
I'm not a concept. I'm just a f***ed up girl looking for my own piece of mind.
Clementine, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
October 13 (Philippine/Normal Time) [Late Upload #7] - Animal Kingdom!: Mount Everest (the roller coaster) - Tree of Life - Baobab Trees (which make you feel like you're in The Little Prince's world - we are under the same sky, the same moon
I decided I'd continue the late upload series now :3
October 10 (Philippine/Normal Time) [Late Upload #6] - Magic Kingdom!: Haunted Mansion - Saying Goodbye - Cinderella Castle - Main Square
There are so many reasons why I want to have class tomorrow.
For one, to have Spanish class and get the homework back.
Seriously. Days without Spanish class make me sad. I'm getting more and more attached to it.
Someday I'll blog here in Spanish. For sure.
Las fantasmas no lloran.
Volver (2006) de Pedro Almodovar
...so drama this movie :'|
I realized I never continued with this anymore. If only for the sake of updating my blog, and showing off what I think is photography skill... :D
Oh, and also, a shoutout to pinoyshuttr, a really great photographer who followed me recently. :"> Thank you po!Â
August 19 (Philippine/Normal Time) [Late Upload #5] - Epcot!: Giant Golf Ball - Rainbow - Globe in Water - Mini-Eiffel - Flowers - Aurora and Prince (rendered in plants)
Vale. Ya esta. Hasta la vista hihi :3Â
