learning about the library of babel project has given some credence to what david lynch talks about when he says you need to pull ideas from the ether and cement them in our world. he would often mention this when talking about his creative process. the library could be a very close approximation of what this “ether” may be. course as beings of flesh we may not now exactly what this is. but miraculously we can sometimes tap into it and pull things out of it. it is our duty as beings of flesh and blood to pull these words from the ether and cement them in the physical world.
