when clyde is in college he really wants to hook up with a man to prove a point to himself but more importantly to his cool gay best friend craig that neither of them really understand, but he gets super fixated on it. he was going to just experiment with craig and kind of thought it was a no-brainer that craig would say yes but craig immediately says no and this makes clyde like legitimately sad. not just disappointed like oh great now i have to find some other dude to be bi-curious with like no he’s CRUSHED. he’s sobbing in craig’s dorm asking if craig thinks he’s ugly and craig is like “yeah and i don’t like your body either.”
as a kid stan goes through a phase where he gets really fixated on looking at the pictures of jesus while in church and starts feeling really weird about it. the “weird” feelings in question were gay thoughts, but he’s too in denial to recognize that, even though the thoughts were really concentrated on jesus’ abs and sad tragic eyes and long flowing hair. it got so bad that he started resisting church like crazy and his parents were like “??? i guess you’re old enough to decide not to go.” it’s not until he’s an adult that he finally realizes that these were very much a gay “awakening” (not really much of an awakening if he didn’t even realize it). he brings this up to kenny and kenny is like “huh. you really have a thing for jewish dudes, don’t you?” and stan is like “wait jesus is jewish?”

i like your vision but here’s my struggle with any kind of south park hr au. because of course i’ve thought about it. obviously stan is the shane that’s the easiest thing in the world. stan is a complete shane. but i truly do not think that there is an adequate ilya equivalent in the south park universe. kenny is the CLOSEST but he’s still not quite there. if you guys have more thoughts let me know
kyle would decide to break up with stan and in the days leading up to it he’d treat him like a dog when you’re about to put it down
