Introduction!

It's been awhile since my last introduction post, so here's an update

I'm a 20 year old art hobbyist. My username is 124ndm, but you can call me anything, (that title is just a random string of characters anyways). This account exists so that I can freely post the stuff that I'm a little more embarrassed about (plus occasional reblogs).

I'm constantly hip-hopping between fandoms, so don't be surprised if I randomly switch up.

I don't have much of a "DNI", besides being against proshippers. So if you're proship, please leave!

ref-a-day 23/? tried to emulate horikoshis style with this one LOL. im not great at traditional though so it fell a little flat. but whateves! this was fun.

CUTEEEE as a novice artist, what's some of the best advice for this sort of style? i like the mix of cartoon and anime that he does

My best piece of advice would be to study real photos, as simple as that sounds LOL. His bodies are proportioned pretty realistically, so if you want to get those proportions right, studying from real life is your best bet. Personally, something that has helped me get form down is doing flash-studies. Picking a series of photos and trying to do a quick sketch in under 10 minutes. Sure, they'll look like ass, but it'll help you better understand how to get the shapes and anatomy right without overthinking it. As for the faces/expressions, I don't feel like I'm at a good enough spot to give advice on that LOL. I struggled a LOT doing ochakos face in this, and even then, I don't think I got it completely right. But, once again with what I said earlier, referencing is your best bet. Sometimes I like to go on the MHA wiki and just scroll through character sketches, trying to see patterns in how he draws things.
