Hi! First of all, thank you so much for organising the akakage week for us victims of this rarepair ❤ ❤ ❤ As an appreciation for the participants, I'd love to draw fanarts for the submitted fics, if you guys are okay with it? I can't promise to churn out very fast works, but I'll definitely draw something for each fic (of course, only if the authors give their blessings hahas)

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I would happily light myself on fire to get someone to draw art of my fics. I know my fellow mod feels the same, too. 

Once we get a few submissions in, I’ll poke the fic writers and ask if they’re cool with it. When I have a list, I’ll send it to you via PM with the author names/titles of the works that are okayed. 

You, friend, are a supreme human being for wanting to do this. Fanfic is so uncirculated because it’s not instantly consumable, but with art attached, it gets so much more love. Here’s hoping we can make this pairing a few more people’s OTP by pure exposure. ♥

19 days rant below

wowowow here we have actual plot progression (and a ton of angst but that’s normal ain’t it) and people are more excited/angered/disappointed about who assumes what role during hypothetical sexy times? sorry for sounding like a prude but it irks me when people get too invested over who tops/bottoms and let it meddle with their reading experience.

like i get that we all have our own preferences (heck mine are usually very strong) and headcanons but 19 days is a beautifully crafted story that offers so much more. you like/want/think jian yi tops? you do you. you like/want/think xixi tops? you do you. you like/want/think they switch? you do you. at this point of the story i’d be happy if they stay friends/stay in touch, as long as they’re happy (and safe gdi let them catch a break D: )

as far as the present/past chapters have revealed, they are not in a romantic relationship, and even if they eventually do get in one (i honestly doubt it would happen but would be ecstatic if it does) unless old xian exciplitly states that nooo this character(s) only bottoms/tops no one can fault your preference and the fandom can go wild with their imagination. and isn’t that the beauty of it? this is not a stereotypical yaoi manga (which i also enjoy reading, mind you) where the characters are assigned their roles to be ⁓the one who puts it in the ass⁓ and ⁓the one who takes it up the ass⁓

of course in real life exclusive bottoms and exclusive tops exist. but so do people who are flexible, people who seldom or don’t have penetrative sex and people who choose not to have sex at all. before i go off on a tangent and be even more of a prudish killjoy, let me just say please enjoy 19 days as the masterpiece it is and don’t let this kinda stuff hinder you from fully appreciating the story. peace out ✌

@kageyama-rarepairweek Day 4: omegaverse/falling in love

featuring akaashi/kageyama, because kags’ eyes literally sparkle when he’s talking to akaashi and it looks so cute he looks like an eager little puppy huhu anyway a little backstory below

Starting from the moment he presented, omega Kageyama’s reaction towards alphas ranges from indifferent to outright hostile (with a few exceptions being tolerable after he gets to know them better). He never got the appeal of all the stuff other omegas go crazy for, like an alpha’s scent, built or courting behaviour.

That is, until he met Akaashi Keiji.

At first he ignored the jolt running through his body when their hands touch for the first time, thinking it was electric shock (this child totally would) but Kageyama soon finds himself intensely drawn to the older alpha - how his calm demeanor differs from the majority of other alphas, his polite manner pleasing and his conversation engaging.

He’d never thought the day when he becomes a bumbling mess in front of an alpha would come, but he takes one look at Akaashi and finds that he doesn’t mind one bit.

Day 2 of @kageyama-rarepairweek prompt: trust

Daichi is headstrong, he is fierce and authoritative. Someone who unyieldingly trains himself to be better at something he loves, to make up where talent falls short, until he excels in his own way.

He must be competitive too, and Kageyama can’t wrap his head around how the man can be as passionate as he is compassionate, wanting everyone to improve and move forward and being genuinely happy when they do.

He doesn’t get it, but as a person who has a hard time trusting, what he does know is it’s nice to have someone to rely on.

So ushiwaka and kageyama end up in the same team in college and together they are dubbed ‘the king and his general’, bringing a bout of storm to competitors and teammates alike with their unfiltered bluntness, endless striving and mad volleyball skills.

Since they’re very honest (at the very least in the case of volleyballs) most practice matches turn into a weird sort of compliments rally at the end where the two would recap the day by, well, praising each other for their respective moves.

“that dump shot you did near the end of the first set was a really good call”

“ah, thank you, your spikes today are even faster than the usual, i had to get the points back somehow”

“well your tosses are as accurate as ever, more unpredictable too”

“but you did very well blocking our attacks throughout the whole game”

on and on back and forth while the rest of the team spectate, speechless.

For koichama, who won my art freebie raffle. You requested “KuroFai fishies” and got this weird little children’s book instead. I’ve stopped wondering what’s wrong with my brain; there’s probably no cure anyway.

My apologies for any spelling or grammatical errors. I wrote the story on the fly as I scanned in the watercolors, and in my rush to get to bed at a decent time, did not stop to proofread or request a beta. *desperately holds herself back from making betta pun*
