Keep your friends close, and your ( perceived ) enemies closer - a lesson Gavner was taught at a young age. If anything, there was a certain level of thrill to it all, to being so close to danger ; so subtly slipping under their radar... If anything, Gavner felt more at ease the closer he was to those who had their sights on his kin.
