Tips for Overcoming Gym Anxiety:
Remember that you are all there for the same reason; bettering yourselves. You may walk in and see a room of beautiful people who look like they don’t need to step into a gym at all but it’s good to remember that we all have our insecurities and we all have room for improvement.
Everyone was once a beginner. It’s extremely easy to feel intimidated by a room filled with people who seem to know how not to die using the very large and terrifying machines. I can promise you there was a day that they felt the exact same way. You will get used to it and you will learn how to use them…yes even the ones that look like medieval torture machines.
Take people looking at you as a compliment. So often when we catch people looking at us our minds go straight to the worst. We assume that they are judging our bodies and making fun of our efforts in their minds but honestly, most of the time they’re looking at you because they find you mesmerizing or because they’re trying to learn how to do what you’re doing.
Get to know the familiar faces. People tend to go to the gym at the same times each week. Start taking note of which people you see on which days. Walking into a room of familiar faces is way less scary than walking into a room of swole strangers.
Breathe. As simple as this tip may be I cannot stress how important it is. Take a moment to yourself before you step onto that treadmill or before you lift anything and remember that everything is always worse in our own minds and that you can do this. You are going to be okay- you are not okay right now but you are going to be.
Find your gym’s non-peak hours. The atmosphere then can help you not feel as pressured.
122kg
My heavieat weight ever have been 125kg, with hard work and dedication I have went down to 100kg. However, this morning when I stepped on the scale I had to realize I am 122kg again. Almost all the way back to where I started.
Today is the day though. Today I am joining a gym, today is the day when I start kicking ass again.
That’s the spirit !! Awesome babe !
I feel personally attacked
Abusers can do nice things for people they are not abusing.
Abusers can do nice things for people that they are abusing.
Abusers can otherwise seem like nice, caring, supportive people when they are not actively abusing someone.
It does not mean they’re not fucking abusers.
IMPORTANT.
Always reblog
Furthermore, this is part of why they’re able to continue the abuse. It’s literally how the cycle continues.
Most people treat depression as if the depressed person sat down in a room, weighed out the pros and cons, and decided being depressed was a great option.

self care is also being honest with yourself about your negative habits and mistakes. it’s also taking ownership of your faults and growing from them. self care is diverting from a negative space to a positive one. creating light and balance. blooming. watering your own flowers. being gentle but honest with yourself.
so take care.
