be proud of your original characters. it's no easy task to create a character from scratch, to make them believable and real and human. it takes time. it takes dedication. so what if they aren't perfect right away? so what if there are still things you're only now figuring out after time? characters evolve, they go through changes and arcs and stories just like real people do. and it's okay if your character develops over time, you don't need to have it all figured out right away. there are some things that will only ever clear up after writing them for a while, finding their voice, and seeing the way they interact with other characters. but this is your character, your creation, and you deserve to feel proud about it no matter what.

I can't transition here because of the social cleansing near my area of the city (this is the only source in english I could find and it's a bit old, I apologize for that), so I would really like some help! I haven't been hired by any formal companies yet, presumably because of my medical record obviously showing mental illness, which means I don't have enough money to get a passport and then a visa. I don't ask for much, just enough to pay for those things, unless I am hired somewhere stable soon.

Ok in honor of pride month im gonna yap about my frustration with how aromantic characters are treated in fandoms.

People will use the excuse of “well aro people can date!! Ace people can feel sexual attraction!!” And yes while this is true & very valid as aro/ace, it’s still very easily taking away representation to ship these characters in those ways if said character is actively against romance/sex.

I am so tired of seeing openly confirmed aromantic and asexual characters being shipped with the rest of the cast so much. Same thing with asexual characters being put in sexual fanfics/art. “Aromantic people can date” ok but the character is uninterested in romance. “Asexual people can feel sexual attraction” ok but the character is repulsed by sex. A big example I’d give is Alastor from Hazbin Hotel. The amount of sexual content specifically I see of him actually disgusts me.

Let us have our representation and leave it alone. There are plenty of other characters in the cast. Plenty of other options. You don’t need the (usually) ONE CHARACTER that’s aro/ace.
