Yesterday wrapped up my birthday fundraiser! I wasn’t really planning this but I was like “It’s my birthday I want to see some damn kitties.” So we went down to the humane society to hand-deliver the check instead of mailing it! Here is the receipt and some of kitties you helped! I did cover the >$200 in GoFundMe transaction fees as promised so the shelter could have the full amount donated. I forgot to shut down the donations before we left so another $10 did trickle in - I will mail them another check. When we were walking around cooing over the potato bears the president and CEO Joyce Cameron came out to shake my hand and thank me in person! I felt like a celebrity. Not telling you to show off but just so you know your donations are a huge deal to this small shelter.

I can't really articulate how grateful I am to everyone who donated and shared the fundraiser! Raising money for homeless animals was the only thing I really, really wanted for my birthday and you made it possible. It helps the animals but it helps me, too. It reminds me that there are real people out there who want to make the world a more compassionate place. THANK YOU. ❤️
