She’s got a bit of a dramatic streak, but is generally a catgirl of very wholesome values. She loves making friends and doing deeds worth telling stories about.

Description: Fila is a gray tuxedo. Her muzzle, stomach, and tail-tip are white, as are her limbs from her wrists and ankles down. She has more freckles than whiskers and a heart-shaped nose, along with pink ears and paw pads. Her eyes have golden irises and her smile is non-threatening even to most mice.

Each time in life must have its turn. Each high must have a low, and in turn your deepest pits will see you rise to your greatest heights once more. To live a life to its fullest we have to see this cycle of ups and downs to its end. We all must follow our arcs.
To be unchanging is to deny the world. Adaptability is the only way to succeed in an ever-shifting land. Stretch past your limits, and squash your assumptions.

I received a lot of lovely and helpful feedback on Version 1, and wanted to post an updated version with improved details. Most importantly, the negative stat modifiers have been dropped entirely, and the subrace spells are more equal now.
And, people were eager for a Hammerspace table, so…
Alice blinked at the white rabbit, and the rabbit blinked back.
Well, no: Alice had seen rabbits before, and this wasn’t much of a rabbit at all. Rabbits were about four feet shorter and didn’t have any thumbs; they certainly didn’t wear frilly dresses like this rabbit-girl did. Rabbits also didn’t tend to hop out from nowhere, get right in a person’s face, and ask who that person was in plain Sylvan. Some fey might do that, but the fey Alice had seen before looked more like butterflies than bunnies.
“I’m a cat person, actually.” Alice answered, using humor to mask her surprise.
The rabbit-girl frowned at that. Her humanoid nose twitched as she looked Alice up and down. “No you’re not.”
“But I am.” came a voice from above.
Only a bit more beastly than a humanoid wearing costume ears and a tail, the furmuli are an animal-like culture of people native to the Feywild. They’re thought to have been created by a more powerful version of the Awaken spell, though they can’t make regular beasts into more furmuli, the original method and the knowledge of who had originally done it now lost to time.
On the shorter side and positively pastel, most every furmulus is friendly and personable, able to get along with all but the most evil of people. They’re simple creatures, caring more than careful, who work better working for someone else than being left unsupervised. Even so, families of them might be found off the beaten path nearly anywhere, perfectly happy with or without visitors.
The Bigears were a long, long line of tool smiths. It was their farm equipment that helped their halfling hamlet thrive, and a fishing spear had been displayed proudly above their fireplace for generations. Corrin’s mother and father taught him the trade as soon as he was old enough to hold the tools, and he was very good at it by the time he came of age. At that point, Corrin was arranged to marry a girl named Dory, whose family owned the only boat around; she seemed to like him fine, but he agreed to it mostly out of obligation, having no dreams of life as a husband or father.
Around that time, a group of humans had moved in nearby. This was not that unusual; the hamlet was in a lovely area that tempted many to visit or stay. There was even a flock of kenku up the closest mountain, said to be studying the elements for religious reasons. The halflings thought nothing of their new neighbors, performing the polite exchanging of greetings and goods that they always did to travelers. It was not as though they owned the countryside; other people could do what they liked.
What the human camp chose to do started out with small things. They were a lot of large and intimidating men, except for the one that was in charge, who was thin and dressed quite nicely. They visited the halflings over and over, asking about what all they and their other neighbors had and haggling for their goods with less reasonable offers each time. The longer it went on, the more false the smiles and nods the Halflings returned, and the more everyone thought to feign ignorance to whatever the humans sought. Corrin and his family were particularly inconvenienced, as the humans seemed quite interested in learning every tool they could make, taking particular interest in their spears.
Before Corrin and Dory could be wed, tension came to a head. The humans had learned the strengths and weaknesses of the halflings and used the latter to invade their community for selfish benefit. The halflings were not violent and the humans were extremely so, and so these human bandits took over the hamlet; their leader sat upon the mayor’s special chair despite the size difference, lording power over the now-suffering natives. The halflings were forced to continue their farming and trades under supervision, and the humans took everything they made or else halflings got hurt.
Dory helped Corrin sneak away, and so he travelled across the lake in her father’s boat to the mountains on the other side. He had taken the spear from above his fireplace, and some small bits of warm clothing and food that wouldn’t be missed, and hoped the kenku could help them. He was not an unfit man, but halflings were not naturally skilled at climbing mountains, and as he struggled with sheer determination to save his hometown, he wondered how in the world the kenku had done it without flying.
Making it to the monastery they had built after the longest few hours of his life, having left under cover of darkness and arrived long past lunch, he discovered much about kenku. The one he made out to be their leader made the call of the nightingale to introduce himself, and Corrin came to call him Warbler. He and the other monks greeted Corrin with the same obligatory politeness the halfling was used to, and when he explained to them the woes of the halflings, five kenku looked at each other and then went back to training. Corrin felt defeated at first, but then realized that Warbler was inviting him to join them, and that they were practicing to fight.
Every day he left his family and friends to the bandits stung, but Corrin quickly got the hang of what the kenku were trying to show him. They were a frighteningly clever people, especially without being able to explain themselves in plain words, and Corrin learned how much cleverness could accomplish. It was a crash course, and soon he was ready to return home. The kenku offered to help speed up the trek down the mountain, but having seen their dangerous manipulation of the air, he politely declined. It was morning when he left, and he rested at the water’s edge until nightfall to return to the hamlet undetected, leaving the boat where it wouldn’t be found.
Hoping he was ready, Corrin moved through his home, avoiding the few bandits that were awake with his lifelong knowledge of every brick and bush. He made his way into the mayor’s office with no more sound than the rustling of feathers, and clutched a spearhead in his hand as he saw through the dim lighting the man that had caused all their suffering. The bandit captain was dead before he woke up, metal piercing a hole through his neck. In the confusion of their murdered employer, many of the bandits fled with what they could carry. Corrin held his family’s spear above his head, now back in one piece, and with his motivating words the other halflings chased every straggler away with pitchforks and shovels.
And so peaceful life returned to the halflings’ hamlet, with only a week’s worth of cleaning and reconstruction before one could almost forget what could happen. Corrin couldn’t forget it all, though, the smell of blood not only from the tyrant but from his victims, the teachings he had on how to put an end to such tyranny. He told his friends and family his intent when they gathered for his marriage to Dory, how he chose instead to leave his home and go into the cruel world in order to make it less cruel. It no longer felt like his place to continue civilian life, and the other citizens changed the reception into a teary goodbye to a boy many of them had watched become a man. Dory told him she understood, and when they were given a private moment at the outskirts before he took the supplies he’d been given and began his journey, she told him to give ‘em hell.
At last, the dark priest Harrow makes his appearance! That’s right, back to the Warframe conversions, and a cleric domain at that. A while back I realized I had only ever done a single domain so I figured I’d combined it with another Warframe post. Had a lot of fun with this one, converting his abilities were quite the challenge but I think I got it! Hope y'all have fun with it.
