As One Piece slides into its final saga, now is honestly the best time to get into the series. bc once it ends, fans won't be able to experience the full weight of asking "What is the One Piece?" Without having an answer to that question
It's an experience that's hard to really compare, bc it's a 30 year old mystery that fans have tried solving for decades. One that has a concrete answer that the author has known since he started writing the manga. And it only gets more and more fascinating the more we learn about it.
Oda has already confirmed that it's a real, physical thing too, and not just "the friends we made along the way." And from the little we do know, the answer will blow us all out of the water.
But once the mystery is revealed, you can never live in a time before it was known ever again.
May I ask you a question about homebrewing since you seem to know? how would I go about creating a race that is literally just a goldfish.
i think my solution would be to not make that a race, but make a goldfish creature stat block (maybe use a quipper as a base) since itd likely be a cr 0 creature with little to no unique abilities, and just add class features onto that stat block.
this works for more complicated creatures too-- i once let Luci play a wizard that was also an ancient blue dragon and we didnt have like, race stats for that i believe she just tacked class features onto the existing stat block.
also also, you can do this for enemy stat blocks as well! spice up your owlbears by giving them dangersense, give an orc sneak attack, the world is your oyster!

Hi! I am new to your blog, but I had to drop you a note. I like to browse homebrew and I saw a reblog of your Bond Guardian class. I fell in love with it immediately and it is so incredibly inventive and creative! I was knocked off my feet! Incredible 😀
Thank you so much~ it's probably the thing on this blog that took the most time and effort to finish. XD

Wow okay, i had some problems with internet and stuff for a while but i’m back with one of the highest forms of my duality aesthetic. Have fun~

Light and Dark, classic themes. But I have some questions.

Yeah these are kinda old now and a little clunky, mostly made actually for a specific PC i was building a while ago.
i can’t believe i forgot spellcasting ability. XD But yeah the idea is most likely choosing what most makes sense. Likely Charisma, giving a barbarian a reason to not have it as their dump stat and since this magic is closest in presentation to sorcerous magic.
Spells are mostly for flavor and utility rather than damage. Toll the dead is the only damaging spell and it’d mostly be to hit things out of range of your melee weapon. The other options of Flash, Daylight, and Darkness are more for controlling environment and using creatively to help you do your job of hitting things better, as well as giving you ways to maintain your rage if you for some reason can’t hit something or get hit for a turn.
i’ll be honest i don’t really get the Zealot comparison but like i said it was made with a specific PC and lore in mind. Both exist as opposing forces and it’s more a barbarian sublass revolving around using spells creatively interwoven with your normal barbarian stuff and the flavor of fighting against a specific type of being or force of nature rather than zealot which seems to be mostly about not dying and buffing allies and stuff.
Thanks for the questions~

SO, has anyone been wondering what i’ve been up to? The answer is this. This is an idea i had over a year ago and have spent i don’t even know how long tuning and coming up with ideas for it.
Given that it IS an entirely new class remember that if you wanna try it, it needs a LOT of playtesting. And if you have constructive criticism or just fun idea suggestions i’d be happy to hear them to perhaps release updated versions or expanded options in the future.
Thank you everyone for following this blog~<3

My two cents under the cut.

Hey, thanks for the feedback~ Like i said a LOT of playtesting a tweaking probably needs to be done for most people. But for your points:
Mostly i just felt like light armor or shields, one or the other, was the best since the access to those usually indicates your ability to use them without hampering your class abilities (like why spellcasters usually can’t cast spells while wearing clunky armor and the like) and usually the charge is rather inexperienced in combat on their own. Having to choose one is more for flavor than anything, and can be edited depending on the character. (i’ll be saying that a lot, most of the time i say that going with what feels the most fun and interesting to play is a lot more important than raw numbers and mechanics) XD
For the attacks, yeah that might need some tuning down. The class was made with the expectation that the charge is who’s in charge of most roleplay and npc interaction, while the guardian is most in charge of combat. So while making it i was looking through a lens of “the charge should probably only be directly in combat as a last resort” since they’re so squishy with only 1d4 hit dice and minimal armor. That’s why so many class features revolve around being able to control who gets what damage and letting the guardian protect the charge if an enemy does try to force them into combat. Honestly the extra attack for the charge is mostly just to give you more options rather than to encourage you to be in the fray. Attacking and being a threat will usually just make the charge more of a target.
For subclasses, yeah that could be a way to do it, but i just kinda decided that the type of creature it is is the best starting point, and then the improvements are how you kinda...”specialize it”.
For telepathy you can have it as early as level 3, having a clearer understanding of them is an active choice you have to make over other features, because you possibly having misunderstandings is supposed to be part of the fun and roleplay.
That’s a good point, you can leave the vulnerable charge behind, but that leads to other problems. You’re left with a character out and about with very little way to communicate and likely being very scary and intimidating. And i find it more likely that being protective means they want to be near each other as much as possible, so they can use their class features and stuff to protect each other and know what’s going on with each other. They’re made to work in tandem so splitting them up leaves one with minimal combat ability vulnerable with no protection, and leaves the other with minimal ease of communication at the forefront experiencing new things. They work best together, so splitting them up to me at least seems like it’s a bad idea.
The same thing happens when any PC dies. You have either the choice of retiring the character or trying to revive them. There is an interesting point that since your character is two beings you could keep going alone, but you run into the same problems i described last paragraph. One dying could cause the other to despair and abandon the journey, or the one left could make it their new goal to revive the one that died and then continue on. That will just depend on the character and what kind of campaign it is.
Sorry if i was a little ramble-y! But i hope that at least clears up my thought processes. i also wanna remind anyone reading that whenever i make any homebrew i definitely recommend people who want to use it to edit it however they see fit to fit their character or campaign better. This class especially isn’t something that can just be thrown haphazardly into any campaign, i mostly made it because i just thought it was a fun idea. For instance if the charge is more reckless and ready to fight and the guardian is more intelligent and pacifistic there would be quite a few changes that would need to be made so that dynamic works with the class, to the point that it might as well just be another new class. Homebrew is supposed to be fun! and with a class as reliant on roleplay as this, players who min-max what they do can totally abuse the mechanics to hell and back if you let them. Knowing your players and how they play and the kind of campaign you wanna run is important, so working together to make the game as fun as possible is super necessary. My ideas are more just jumping-off points and bases to work from to make your characters come to life as much as possible,
~ Mod Luci
Hey! I just started a new campaign and one of my players wanted to have a half tiefling-tabaxi race. How would I configure that to not be too op? Thanks :)
Generally speaking for most half-tieflings they give up one of their other race’s features for fire resistance and darkvision or something like that. To be honest it's pretty hard to make someone "OP" by race alone so if you just work with combining the traits of tiefling and tabaxi you shouldn't have much issue with it~

i’m trying to keep this post as concise as i can, so i’ll only be including a handful of sample art at the end of the post. for the best of my art and past commissions ive taken, check out my portfolio tag!
my general baselines for prices are:
lineart (w/ optional single color):
bust: 15$

bust: 20$
waist-up: 30$
full body: 50$
full color rendered/painted*:

*baseline quote does not account for complicated designs or backgrounds, which may increase prices due to being more time-consuming
i also offer character reference/design sheets for a base price of 100$, with the basic format being a single flat color full body shot of the character, as well as 1-4 miscellaneous reference pieces, such as facial details, weapons, tattoos, etc., with further details and/or shading increasing the price from there. example, done with a fully rendered outfit reference in place of flat colors, and text details for personal use:
additional characters in a single piece generally increase the price by 50%
pieces done primarily on description may cost more if multiple concept sketches need to be made, but i am happy to work off descriptions
complicated poses/lighting/designs/etc may result in increased prices
at the moment, all payments must be made through google pay, but i’m hoping to have paypal and other payment methods set up soon. i require at least half of the quoted price paid up-front, and the rest upon completion.
i will not draw:

I know this is random or anything but I'm trying to make a class or some sub classes for a couple classes that will make a character become almost a hoursman or a bringer of 1 of the many apocalyptic ends in religion, myth and d&d but I don't know what classes and sub classes that exist I can mash together to make that character or to make said class
if youre going for a sorta spellcasty thing id suggest working with a hexblade or undying warlock, for the spellsword/death magic aspects, or an oathbreaker paladin also for spellsword death magic stuff plus paladins get Find Steed, or maybe some sort of cleric of an unsavory entity with a domain like death or war
or if youre going for more of a melee class id BIG recommend reflavoring/working off of the zealot or storm herald barbarians, or working some more magicky features into the cavalier fighter if youre gonna be doing horseman stuff
a lot of my characters i lightly homebrew variations on existing subclasses for, or just reflavor existing subclasses, because a lot of the time its way easier to find something thats already what you want or close enough to what you want Mechanically than it is to fully synthesize something new. sometimes i pick and choose different subclass features for a frankenstein subclass when just One set of features wont cut it for my idea (with dm permission ofc)

Hey I was wondering if I can get help create an items for a artist character like a pen or something that can change to the right tool and colour at the artist wim
i mean all in all you *can* just say “Hey this character has a slightly magic set of artist’s tools that can morph into different forms” and just leave it at that. It’s ultimately up to the DM but to me it seems like it’s a minor enough thing that it shouldn’t matter in terms of balance *and* gives the character some fun flavor. Just recently i played a College of Artistry bard (from one of my previous homebrews) and the DM and i just decided that her shortsword’s handle could double as a magic paintbrush. The only thing that was really magic about it was it never ran out of paint, could change the color of said paint, and could spray paint like a spraypaint can. Given that my character was *all about* art it seemed like just letting her have the opportunity to embrace that without getting caught up in rules was the best option. - Mod Luci
Anybody ever want race options that are either no gender, or every gender by default? Well have some friends i definitely didn’t make for my own 2 newest characters.

The other stuff i’m working on is taking a long time to work out, so i figured i’d finally throw this idea together in the meantime. After playing Kingdom Hearts 3 when it came out i knew i absolutely NEEDED to port over zettaflare. (Also yes i’m using -za instead of -ja or -gun because that’s what i’m used to)

Sorry, me again. I just found a previously answered question where you said you guys don't do that. Can I still use your content in my own campaign though?
absolutely! we publish our homebrew content here so other people can use them, by all means please do

Eyyy, finally finished covering all the damage types. You know what that means? Any Spells for Elements sets that come out after this will just get weirder and weirder!
